I don't know how our lady of Pompei ended up in Marsaxlokk, but she has a nice church which only opens in the morning at 09:30 and in the evening at 1830 for mass. So that is the time to go there if you want...More
....although we could only view from the outside, we spent ages looking around the exterior and taking photographs. It was beautiful. Certainly the main architectural icon of the village, and worth a trip to see in itself.
We just happened to walk in while strolling around before the hop-on hop-off bus came, but found the interior intriguing (and with very little explanation) so it remains a bit of a mystery. Perhaps some other visitor can add more details on what the meanings...More
