Marsaxlokk Parish Church
Jul 2020
When we visited the Marsaxlokk parish church which is dedicated to Our Lady of Pompei to attend mass and afterwards went to the open-air market which lies in the vicinity. Small church with very nice artifacts

Wait for the bell
Jan 2020 • Solo
If you you ever visit the finishing village of Marsaxlokk this is what you are sure to see dead centre of all the Marsaxlokk market. This parish church is most prominently poised in the middle. If you happen to be sitting outside the restaurant opposite, you will sure hear the bell ringing.
The church is another of the many beautiful churches that are almost on every corner in Malta.

Beautiful church on the promenade
Jan 2020 • Solo
Parish church is the main religioud building located in the fisher town called Marsaxlokk, in the South of Malta Island. It is located in the promenade, just close to the sea and the main pathwalk in the town. The place is very beautiful and the church is ok. It has a big facade, if you compare with other surrounding houses. Nice.

Rings a bell
Oct 2019
Stands in the 'town square' offset on the left of the north of the harbour. Lovely bell chimes. It stands proud, which is good. Unfortunatey, the rear aspect of the roof was shrouded in scaffold.

If you are in Marsaxlokk to see the harbour make sure to visit this quaint church.
Aug 2019
Whilst on holiday in Malta we visited the enchanting fishing village (town) of Marsaxlokk. As well as the colourful traditional boats and waterfront eateries the 'Church of Our Lady of Pompei' that sits just back from the harbour in a little village square is well worth a quick visit. Built in 1890 this is a very attractive church inside and out, with it's twin bell towers and single dome and is certainly worth 15 minutes of your time when in Marsaxlokk.

Nice church
Mar 2019 • Friends
Parish Church of Our Lady is the main church of Marsaxlokk, a town located in the South part of Malta Island. In fact, ot is in the promenade of the town, near from some typical fish restaurants in the place. The facade of the church is beautiful and you can visite the inside. Ok.

Take a look
May 2018 • Couples
Actually, it's almost on the waterfront, so 99% chance you'll come by this church so why not take a look. there are not many attractions in Marsaxlokk. It's nothing spectacular, just nice.

Pleasing to the eye on the outside
Apr 2019 • Family
I don't know how our lady of Pompei ended up in Marsaxlokk, but she has a nice church which only opens in the morning at 09:30 and in the evening at 1830 for mass. So that is the time to go there if you want to see the interior. The church sits on a nice square which also features a souvenir shop.

Beautiful church.....
Feb 2019 • Couples
....although we could only view from the outside, we spent ages looking around the exterior and taking photographs. It was beautiful. Certainly the main architectural icon of the village, and worth a trip to see in itself.

Interior features unusual and interesting
Oct 2018 • Couples
We just happened to walk in while strolling around before the hop-on hop-off bus came, but found the interior intriguing (and with very little explanation) so it remains a bit of a mystery. Perhaps some other visitor can add more details on what the meanings of the icons are.
