About
This natural pool at the tip of Delimara Point is a unique swimming spot, perfect for a day of adventure and relaxation. There’s a large flat slab where you can sunbathe, or you can jump off the cliffs to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters below. Just watch out for jellyfish. If you want to explore beyond the pool, wear good shoes and stroll along the rocky shore to find other stunning inlets like Peter’s Little Brother. You can also see historic landmarks in the area like Fort Delimara and the Il-Kalanka Lighthouse. Otherwise, visit St. Peter's Pool and other Malta highlights, including the Blue Grotto, on a full-day tour. – Tripadvisor

- Varun BAltrincham, United Kingdom49 contributionsTrip of a lifetimeAn experience of a lifetime... jump from the cliff 4-5 meters or a smaller 2-3 meters heights or just climb down the steps. You can get your snorkels for pretty fishes if you want. Please remember to get your snacks & drink/ WATER. There is a small ice cream van serving ice cream and light snacks (limited though). Has a car park for 25-30 cars, gets filled by. 11 am. Best to arrive before noon to enjoy the dive in the sun. Excellent bus service till the Marsaxlokk town. Reaching there requires a 2 km walk (with a steep walk for about 500metres, rest is easy 1.5kms) or take a cab €8 or a ferry €10.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 28, 2023
- MTMHampshire692 contributionsBeautiful, take swimming thingsViews are lovely and it is worth seeing for that. On a sunny Saturday afternoon there were lots of people in the water. I was sorry we had not taken swimming things as it looked great. People were jumping off the rocky ledges but there is a set of stairs and some lower rocks you can use to enter the water. The crowd feels quite young. There looked to be no shelter from the sun.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 21, 2024
- Hunter JuneauHouston, Texas55 contributionsA Perfect Escape to St. Peter’s Pool in MaltaSt. Peter’s Pool in Malta is an absolute gem that truly exceeded my expectations! I went solo on a nice Saturday afternoon, and the place was alive with energy. Yet, it also had its serene pockets where you can lay down undisturbed, soaking up the sun or relaxing in the shade. The weather was perfect, with the sun shining brilliantly and the water at a perfect refreshing temperature. This spot caters to everyone. Whether you’re looking to lounge in the sun, take a swim in the crystal-clear waters, or experience the thrill of jumping off the rocks, St. Peter’s Pool has it all. A towel is a must-bring to lay on, as the rocks can be a bit dusty and it will dirty your swimsuit. At the top of the hill, there’s a small shaded restaurant/bar. While the menu mainly offers snacks, ice cream, cold beers, and small sandwiches, it’s just the right place to grab a quick bite or a refreshing drink after a swim. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, making it a fantastic spot to meet fellow travelers and locals, revel in the stunning natural beauty, and unwind. I had an incredible time and can’t wait to return. If you find yourself in Malta, St. Peter’s Pool is an absolute must-visit! 🌞🏊♂️🍻Visited June 2024Traveled soloWritten June 16, 2024

We paid 3 euro for parking after hellish road where is impossible for 2 cars go next to each other and one or other car needs to reverse. After that you will come down to dirty, full of garbagge and crowded rocks above St. Peter's pool where you will find people shouting and jumping from rock to water. You can go to water further down where rocks are low but need to watch out for slimy seaweed. I fell instantly and I was careful but it is impossible to go walking normally into the water. We were there like 15 minutes and went to St. Thomas Bay where was small sandy beach where was almost no one. Avoid St. Peter's pool, not worth it. Btw if you expect some supervision or lifeguard at St. Peter's pool, no one is there! If someting happens to you there, it will be long time until someone qualified helps you so probably will be too late

The drive to get to the car park is hair-raising, down a rock-strewn, bumpy path only wide enough for one car. When you finally get there it costs €3 to park and you then have to make your way down a very steep, rocky path to get to the pool. I could see from my vantage point at the top how crowded and noisy it was so decided to give it a miss. The owner of the car park kindly gave me my money back. I would avoid.

Riddled with jellyfish. Warm lovely day, blue waters and our boat stops and out comes floaters and googles etc. within minutes one of our group stung and in pain and then another who got really stung bad. We all stood on boat to try and watch for so we could cool off, we jumped in and out and it was frightening - my 14 yo daughter no way was she! We love Malta but the swimming was such a disappointment, our guide said due to global warming jellyfish everywhere last several years and getting worse. The Greek Isles we swum everywhere and none- I’d go there instead.

We went there at the sunset (around 4:30pm) and the yellow sunbeams made the spot being golden colored. It is a little bit risky to descend to the place but not too much. There are no protections and it is necessary to be extra careful if you go there with kids or pets. You can reach quite easily a free small parking space to leave the car.

Went across by boat from Marsalokk Bay, good to shop around to find boat with good timing and shade for the trip. The bay itself requires a walk over uneven ground and is not easy to climb in and out. It was packed with young people whose diving skills were great to watch.

The way the waves have dug away the bottom of the cliffs is fascinating. Watch out for falling rocks if you wander below & I wouldn’t recommend raising your voice.
This was a surprise find off the beaten track & well worth the effort.
A fascinating living lesson in erosion & rising sea levels!

Really nice experience with our local boat rider. Amazing clear waters and perfect for snorkelling and spending a bit of time. I will recommend to go early during the day as there is no shadow possibities and the Maltese sun can leave you fried as a crab.

The entire place is disgusting and everywhere is covered by garbage and cigarette butts. As there is a factory just next to it, when I visited, there were grey islands floating everywhere (petroleum or other chemical).
Also, a lot of garbage floating on the water.
If you use public transportation, you will have to take around 3 buses, with a lot of delay as public transport in Malta is a disaster, then you have to walk 40 minutes.
HORRIBLE.

Really beautiful area. However over the last few years it has become way too crowded.
Don't fall for the tourist trap. If you go to the first parking lot when you see the first sign, you will have to pay 3 euros, when you eventually get there.
There is second parking lot if you go in further down the road a bit, and this one is free.

How about the ladder from the cliff into the water- will it be returned 2019?

There was no ladder into the water just some natural steps when I was there in June 2019.

If there's possibility to jump from that cliffs there to water? Anyone tried and is still alive?
Written November 6, 2017
I’ve done it and my children have done it (as young as 4) so go for it. There plenty of safe spaces to jump from but a couple of stupid places so observe, think and look where the others jump from.

I would like to know how to find a information about the round trip from Marsaxlokk Sunday Market to St. Peter's Pool. I saw a review that the trip was nice, but i cannot find any website or anything. Please give me advice if anyone knows. Thank you.
Written July 1, 2017
Once at the market there are about two different companies right there. They give you options on where they can take you. Round trip from to St. Peter's Pool was about $20 us I think

I am afraid, i don't.
please note that it's not a ferry its small traditional local fishing boats.
there where 4-5 different "companies" in the harbour.
Lucy Brown is at the far end of the harbour/bay towards the sea.
