I had the most amazing time on the sunset horse ride. Mario and his team were so helpful and spent time to ask us about our experience and match us up with the best horses. I don’t think I could’ve enjoyed it more! The horses looked well looked after and behaved perfectly! I will definitely be coming back to Malta again just to do this ride :) it’s well worth it for the price you pay and I would 100% recommend the sunset ride for any level of riding

For my wife's 50th birthday, I wanted to create a memorable experience, and Golden Bay Horse Riding delivered beautifully. We opted for their sunset ride, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff were incredibly welcoming, putting both experienced riders and nervous first-timers at ease. The horses were clearly well-cared for, calm, and responsive, which was a huge comfort. The ride itself was simply magical. Trotting along the scenic trails as the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the Maltese landscape, was truly breathtaking. The views of Golden Bay and the surrounding countryside were stunning, providing a unique and unforgettable perspective. The pace of the ride was gentle and leisurely, allowing us to fully soak in the beauty of the moment. It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, ideal for a special occasion. The guides were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. For a 50th birthday celebration, or any special occasion, I cannot recommend Golden Bay Horse Riding enough. The experience was relaxed, friendly, and well worth the money. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the natural beauty of Malta and create lasting memories. If you're looking for a unique and romantic experience, especially at sunset, this is it!

We booked a sunset ride for two and it was fantastic! I had never ridden before and my partner hadn’t ridden since she was much younger. The staff made us feel very at home and gave us huge confidence. We were introduced to our horses for the ride (Blue & Tia), both of which were lovely and very calm. Out on the ride Blue made me laugh as at every opportunity he would try and sneakily grab some of the greenery! I’d been warned he would try this and not to let him, so a quick pull on the reins and he would behave himself again. Absolutely rocksteady horse - didn’t spook at cars (the first 5mins of the ride from yard to the coastal area is on a quiet road) and we encountered dogs, joggers and some guys doing construction work - none of this phased Blue, or any of the horses for that matter. The views were spectacular and it was a wonderful experience that we both enjoyed thoroughly. We will 100% be coming back to Golden Bay Horse Riding again in the future.

Would recommend. I had a lovely ride in a group of about 14 of on the evening sunset ride (hour and a half). This ride spends a very short time on the road and then is on beautiful and peaceful tracks on top of the cliffs with amazing views across to Gozo. The horses all looked in good condition and well looked after and staff took the trouble to match up riders to suitable horses. I’m quite short and they put me on a horse that was perfect in size for me. The horses were really well behaved and absolutely bombproof in traffic, very safe. Riders who are inexperienced go on lead reins. I really enjoyed the ride and watching the sun set over the sea was beautiful. Bear in mind that the whole ride is done in walk as the going is too rough to trot, I didn’t mind this as I was enjoying the ride so much anyway but don’t expect to do more than walk as an experienced rider. The only things I would say are that the staff were at times a bit abrupt in the way they told people to keep distance from other horses and things like that - it felt like people didn’t feel comfortable chatting due to this, although communication was very friendly and efficient when booking via email. Would definitely go again if I re-visit Malta!

Mario enabled a totally unexperienced group of riders from small boy to teenage girls in shorts and flip-flops to elderly people including myself to experience a wonderful calm and scenic evening ride through the nature reserve with Seaview on his exceptionally calm, well-groomed and beautiful horses. We all had a totally safe and wonderful experience. Highly recommended

Great experience!! We took an hour-long horseback ride through the area. The owners super friendly and very professional. The horses were very well kept and clean with everything you need to enjoy a super experience. In my case, I have no experience riding horses and at all times I felt calm and helped. Thank you so much!! I recommend it 100% and if I return to Malta on holiday, I will definitely do another route with them.

This was perfect. I am in the equestrian world for more than 20 years and I never miss an opportunity to ride horses on holiday. The people take care of the horses and they accommodate to them as well. Looking at size, weight etc. They really care about them. The ride itself was breathtaking. As an experienced rider, they let me go first without guidance. Less experienced or complete beginners have guidance so it is something for everyone!

Staff were amazing, knowledge and horses clearly very well looked after. Horses we were put on were very well behaved the entire duration, couldn’t fault a single part of the experience. The sunset ride was amazing, with lots of nice scenery to take in along the coastline. 100% would recommend visiting, catering to all levels of experience.

This trip was very lovely! Horses were in good shape,they were healthy and very calm. We had an hour long ride with view on see and beach,it was like in romantic movie! It was very calming and therapy-like activity to do. They gave us hemets but I would recommend to give to people also back protectors. I will definitely go again!

Just got back from a fantastic horse riding trek with Golden Bay horse riding. The horses were well looked after and treated with respect. We rode a beautiful route leading to the coast for an hour. My horse Brandy was perfect. My daughter also had a fantastic experience with her horse, Port. We would definitely come again and recommend this as the best €30 each we’ve ever spent.
