It's a lovely place and the views are gorgeous, but there are just so many people there. We felt so conned by the people we booked the trip through, because we arrived there around midday and were the last of the many, many boats to arrive. There is literally no space to sit, people are huddled like penguins and standing/sitting... More

Blue lagoon is very beautiful but very small. We knew that it would be very crowded so we woke up and got there very early at 9ish. There were only a few people around and I could see fish as well. Once the place got busy, the fish just disappeared. I was very impressed with the water and sand. When... More

Even though we'd heard how packed this place could get we wanted to do it anyway since we were in Malta, once we got there we got two sunchairs which were beyond overpriced and even more overcrowded, all these people made it not fun, they all just stay in one area. Kinda put a damper in the trip, it wasn't... More

We went on a Saturday during summer vacation period, so an empty island wasn't expected. However, to our surprise even the dock where the boats and ferries harbour at had people sunbathing on towels, leaving a little path in the middle to walk. It is definitely a very busy area, with little options for shade. Bringing your own shade umbrella... More

We took a boat tour, Hornblower tour, and swim in the Blue Lagoon. The water is quite beautiful and clear. However there are many boats in the area so it may be crowded at some times, however Hornblower has an isolated swimming place so the crowd did not affect us too much. If a ever come to Malta -I do... More

Comino Island is the smallest island in the Maltese archipelago. We left from Sliema and it took approximately two hours to get there because our boat ride was specific for tourists, so the ferry ran along the coasts of Gozo and Comino before we could get off; maybe a normal trip takes one hour. We arrived at around 12 and... More

We had a lovely morning and early afternoon at the blue lagoon. I had read the previous reviews and considered not going due to the reported overcrowding of the lagoon and boats. However, the day before we had been out diving and the couple we were with insisted that we went to see it BUT go early and don't use... More

This is a nice boat ride out but the place gets extremely busy and the beach is very small. Having said that there is plenty of island to walk around and grab a bite or ice cream, just beware most boats that go there may well stop off other places and may also anchor up whilst others snorkel or swim... The blue lagoon is a beautiful place to visit and a must do when you are visiting Malta . You have to see the colours of the water to believe it. I would definitely recommend staying at the only hotel on the island as the lagoon gets ridiculously over crowded by 11am with tourists boats and snack vans etc, sun... More

We had a short stop here when we did the cruise and tour around gozo. The beach here is absolutely heaving and you'd be lucky to get on it... We ended up just jumping in the sea from the boat and having a swim around.
