DMD Camp is located 4km downstream from the place of the origin of picturesque river Drina, in a beautiful valley, 20km from Foca in Republika Srpska. The camp is equipped with wooden chalets for a cosy lodging, and for those who like things a bit different, there is an option for sleeping in tents.

We visited this camp in August and we realized that it is one of the several camps in the area. What we loved about it the evening when we arrived was the warm welcome and great service, the cozy bungalow, which was clean and smelled of fresh pine, and the rich and delicious dinner. We went rafting the next day after a wonderful breakfast and even though we had to wait a bit for our turn, it was worth it. The equipment was not as new as the other teams we saw, but it was comfortable and safe. The river is calm over this time of the year, but the nature is so beautiful. There were still several rapids that were such fun and we truly loved the adventure! Our skipper was an absolute gem and when we went back to the camp, we couldn't believe that time went so fast! Big thank you to the lovely staff who certainly went an extra mile for us!

DMD kamp is the place to be at river Drina just after the Montenegrian border. The owner Jelena is a great person and she makes you feel at ease and at home. This place offers warmhearted hospitality and great authentic ambience, especially when Sasha is giving a special appearance on stage together with his band ;) Enjoying a book in one of the hammocks or along the river is also part of a great holiday. The nature is stunningly beautiful and offers great views, while rafting.

At first I was little suspicious, not because of trip, but I was wondering if I can do that, am I the type for that kind of activity and so on, so on.... Anyway, we had amasing guide from Jahorina (Ognjen) who literary infected us with his huge positive energy. great skipper Vlado, great stuff at the restaurant, camp,Anyway two days of singing, dancing, rafting, who can ask for more???????

In contrast to 5 years ago, when everything was extra, now we experienced a big disappointment. The music in the restaurant is too loud, which makes it impossible to sleep at night, so the sheds where we are placed shake from the bass. Even the best earplugs do not help, the bones are shaking from noises and vibrations. Five years ago, we enjoyed the sound of the Drina river next to the house and the chirping of birds and peace at night, and now we are enjoying the loud turbo folk like in the wedding tent of the fair in Šabac. We also had to eat dinner in the same tavern and choke on cigarette smoke. it was a beautiful open terrace, now closed with PVC foils, I guess so that smokers don't choke as much as possible on cigarette smoke. For someone who traveled 6000 km by plane and then drove another 400 km to escape from the city and enjoy the peace of nature and the clean air of his homeland this is not. The whole camp smells like septic tanks. The food, unlike other camps, is very modest and social. Roast beef with potatoes for lunch and boiled beef with potatoes or beef stew for dinner and so on. It was as if we had come to the canteen of a military guardhouse or a soup kitchen. Correction, in the army the food was incomparably better. For dessert, cheap wafers. When I commented on why they bring me food (fatty beef again) without anyone asking me what I want to eat and I would like trout like 5 years ago. They brought it, but only after they started protesting and making unpleasant scenes. I can't blame the waiters, they work hard and run.
Rafting experience and skipper Brana is for 10, but he also works for other camps, so you can hire him there as well. It is better to take a private cell through booking.
a house on the Drina or in Foča, a luxurious apartment for the day. You can book villas or one-room apartments from 30-50 euros per night for the whole group and eat at restaurants. And you only pay for rafting 40 euros.
The four of us paid a total of 500 euros for two nights and five meals for this horror of two nights and ruined vacation.
Accommodation in wooden huts with two bunk beds without mosquito nets, which are hot on hot days. So small that four people cannot fit in at once unless the other three are already in the beds or waiting outside. There are no mosquito nets and holes between the boards. so many that you can put your hand through, not to think about the reptiles and mosquitoes that can get in. All the sheds use a common public toilet that smells like toilets at railway stations according to commissions. Only three men's toilets in the entire camp. Not a single toilet can be locked. There are also shower cabins with only curtains. So there is no privacy.
It is enough to walk to the camp next to it or to other camps in the area and you will see the difference. Another dimension, clean, tidy. For the price of a shed without a wet room and DMD, they offer lux villas with a bathroom. The food in other camps is national specialties with lamb under the comb or trout. Exactly what we expected and what is advertised on the arrangements for rafting and enjoying the gastronomy of national specialties. Thank you to the receptionist for moving us at least one night to a house with a bathroom where the accommodation was ok where we could take a shower at least one night. tried to convince me that we got some kind of extra discount of 125 euros, since the regular price is 140 euros for a bed in a four-bed shed without a bathroom. At the neighbor's camp for 140 euros you get a new lux villa with a bathroom and a top kitchen, and cottages without a bathroom for 115 euros are incomparably better, more spacious and new. That's probably why there are 10x more cars and buses in their parking lot and they have the best reviews. If you don't know which restaurant to go to, go to the one that's full, there's always
I admit, I was wrong because I didn't read google impressions before arriving, so I would have read that the guests had already complained about this. But every school is paid for. I'm sorry that in these 5 years I have recommended this camp to dozens of acquaintances, carried away by the impression from the first time. I'm sorry that I took my friends this time and in the end we mostly ate in restaurants in Foca. What a bad manager can ruin a good company, no one can.

We were there for 2 days, and it was the best rafting adventure ever. Me and my friends had a great time, and we will be there again same time this year.

We slept in the camping fpr one night on our way back to Hungary.
Everyone was very welcoming, the small wooden house we stayed in was cosy and friendly. The bathrooms were also in a good conditon. The sorroundings are beautiful.
Accidentaly I left my jumper in the house and noticed it only when I got home. I phoned the camp and spoke to Jelena who was so kind and not even found it but also sent it back to me to Hungary without accepting any money. Thank you again Jelena, and thank you DMD camp :)

We had perfect time there! The food - excellent; the bungalows - basic yet clean and offering comfortable sleep in the Bosnian mountains night chill; service - perfect. Nice and warm people. The rafting was a terrific experience - not too extreme, just the right thing for amateurs, we had so much fun! The skippers were very proffecional and nice - thank you, boys! Stunning nature all arround. Definitely going again next summer!

Jelena (I believe the owner) met us with a smile and it was the start of a fantastic 24 hours at DMD. All of the staff weee very friendly, the cuisine was simple but delicious (and abundant) and the other guests were great fun. Before choosing to stay here we went to many other camps and the staff elsewhere seemed disinterested in having us at their camp. The opposite was true of DMD. Welcoming from start to end. Thoroughly recommend it.
