My wife and stopped here today as part of our stay in Vik. After having spent the morning hiking up the Skogafoss and into the surrounding trail system, the Vik Swimming Pool/Community Center was a great way to cool down and unwind. This is definitely...More

We loved the Vik Swimming Pool because it was clean, reasonably priced and well located. It had a "hot pot", normal swimming pool and sauna. It was a perfect way to get cleaned up and warmed up after a big hike!

My husband and two boys (4 and 2) went to the pool after a morning of sight-seeing. They had a great waterslide that my 4 year old loved, and plenty of hot tubs to warm up in. Great place to chat with fellow tourists and...More

Weather (wind!) was too much for driving so we headed over from the Icelandair Hotel. Outdoor hot pot and view were a great way to experience Icelandic culture on a day with 0 degree (C) temps, high winds, and blowing snow. Also enjoyed the sauna....More

Very cold, wet and foggy and not enjoyable for sightseeing, so decided to visit the local swim pool. There were 3 with different temps all outdoors. Great for relaxing and warmed up nicely even in the pouring rain. Would definitely return in any weather!

The pool was basic but the entry fee was very cheap. We walked over from our hotel in the early afternoon, and the pool was not overly crowded. One of the hot tubs was covered but the other never had more then a few people...More

One of the hot tubs were shut down, and the only one open was small and beyond jammed with people. Good for a shower, better than the local campsites. But since it was so crowded we stayed for about 5 mins.

It is simple and cheap and as other swimming pools around country it is great place for a quick break from the Icelandic chill and experience the everyday Icelandic culture.

Now, we'd been to the Fontana Spa in Laugervatn last night, so we walked over from the Icelandair hotel and came in wary. But this place is a gem! There are 3 pools and a sauna (which I didn't do) -- a big 28 C...More

I really enjoy the outdoor pools of Iceland and in most cases, the facilities are very well kept. The pool and hot pots at Vik were nice but I found the women's change rooms in need of a facelift.
