We were dubious at first as -depending on the wind- one side of the island will always be a bit blowy, but once we got used to the slightly bumpy sea conditions we were delighted with the trip. You go right round the island, see...More

No time to read or write, just grab warm clothes and go for this boat trip around Heimaey with viking tours. Puffins and other birds, fabulous views, unforgettable cages, lots of stories and...whales, very close, closer than on other special 'whale watching' tours. Great atmosphere,...More

Great tour around the islands. The captain also treated everyone to a wonderful musical surprise. Comfortable boat with both inside and outside viewing areas.

The trip begins with a tour of nearby islands to see nesting gulls and puffins, which is just ok. However on return a net is dropped from the stern, then brought up with fresh catch of shell fish. Crew shucks scallops and sea urchins right...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this 90 minute tour, even though the wind produced some larger waves that got us wet...and we were standing next to the captain on the top deck. Ignore the negative reviewers on this site...they need to get a life and wouldn't know...More

I wouldn't do this tour again. When we arrived at the dock (which was hard to find) - there were no signs telling us we needed to go to the building across the street to check in for our tour reservations so that was confusing....More

We circled Heimaey and the tour guide did a good job of telling us about the island and its history. Great start to our visit to the islands!

I like to travel and want to use this forum to express my total disgust with the Viking tour at this location. The gas being pumped into the beautiful harbor and the diesel fumes are simply unforgivable. How do they have a license? The initial...More

This trip only takes 90 minutes but after that my head was so full of impressions it was hard to grasp much more. The view of the Islands are fantastic and at one stage we saw 4 glaciers and a volcano at the same time....More

I would agree with other reviews I read before booking this tour, the scenery is great, the cliffs, caves and sea birds are very special. Unfortunately our boat was crowded, the upper deck was full, so we ended up on the back deck with many...More
