Spent a day with Oskar on a tour of The Golden Circle. He is a very safe driver and you can spend the day visiting the amazing attractions in your own time. As well as the Gullfoss waterfall, Strokkur Geysir and the Thingvellir National Park we also visited the geothermal spa at Fontana, which was delightful. He also arranged our airport transfers. Highly recommended.

Oskar is an amazing guide. From the airport and back to the airport, he took care of all our transportation and tours. Though the flight got delayed, Oskar was waiting at the arrivals with a big smile. The tours went as planned and as scheduled though the weather was hard for driving. Definitely recommend his services if you are in Iceland

We had a fantastic day with Oskar. We combined the 'Golden Circle' tour and the 'Blue Lagoon' tour all in one day. Oskar picked us up promptly from the Cruise terminal in Reykjavik at 9.30am - mega day for just 73.000 ISK (the taxi can seat 5).....such good value compared to other taxi firms.
Before we booked Oskar answered all our emails and questions straight away and suggested what time to book the Blue Lagoon for.
On the day we saw so much more than you would on a coach tour. Oskar took us to several extra places of interest and told us about Iceland and answer our questions in a very friendly and relaxed way. He also stopped when we asked for photo opportunities or if he/we spotted something of interest. We ended the day at 5pm at the Blue Lagoon where we 'soaked' for an hour in the gorgeous hot mineral waters and then Oskar returned us to the Ship at approx 7.30pm.
From our research Oskar is much cheaper than other taxi companies and compared to a coach tour - priceless!!!

I organised this private taxi tour of Iceland’s Golden Circle in advance of our (6 family and friends) cruise to Iceland.
Oskar was efficient, very helpful and a very good driver, providing lots of information throughout the tour, answering our many and varied questions. I would definitely recommend Oskar and this tour.

My son and I booked this private tour as a part of our cruise ship stops. We were interested in something that was affordable and private. Oskar was a great communicator from the start which was a good sign for me. He answered all my questions by email and assured us that we would see the sights we wanted to. He was on time the day our ship docked and provided a fantastic tour. He stopped at some smaller places that are off the beaten path and took back roads that provided us with more scenic areas. Oskar is not a talker but he is knowledgeable and will give just enough information... I actually liked that he didn’t talk too much. I am more of a person who enjoys taking in the scenery than talking about it. It was a perfect balance for us. He gave us enough time at all of our stops to absorb the experience/get information and he had great recommendations for dining in Iceland later that evening. He even dropped us off at the restaurant we decided on. I recommend him highly! Thanks Oskar!

I recently took a family trip to Iceland that included my grandfather. On the day of Grandpa's return flight, I thought the Reykjanes Peninsula tour with Golden Circle Taxi would be a good way to get in a little more sightseeing before he got on the plane. The tour started in Reykjavik with pickup from our AirBnB, which was right on time. Oskar was a great driver and guide, telling us about the sites and answering all of my grandfather's questions. We got to see the the peninsula without any anxieties about missing Grandpa's flight. He got us to the airport on time and waited patiently while I got Grandpa checked in and on his way. He then dropped me off at the Blue Lagoon.
Oskar's emails before the trip were responsive and prompt and he had no problems with multiple small adjustments made to the schedule as plans were made and changed. At one point on the tour I rather spectacularly tripped over some loose rocks; Oskar went back to the car to get the walking stick I had forgotten, gave me the first aid kit to clean up my scrapes and even emailed me a few days after I had returned to the US to check in and see how I was doing. An A+ for service for sure.

The Golden Circle private tour with Oskar as our driver and guide was excellent. We were able to visit key sites in the area with our interests in mind. We toured with an additional couple and the e mini-van was very comfortable for our group of 4.

Hi - In this case your best option is to find a taxi at the airport and make a deal with them. The reason is that the airport is 50km from Reykjavik where we operate from but the Blue Lagoon is much closer to the airport so you will always get a better deal from airport taxi than I can offer you because I have to drive from the city.
Hi, I'm considering booking a tour for four people at the start of December, but I would like to know what kind of vehicle would be used for the tour, and how comfortable it would be for the 250km round trip? would we be squeezed into the back seat or is there ample room?

Hi at the homepage of our website you can find a photo of the vehicle we use. is a 9 seat Renault Trafic so there should be more than enough space :)

If you prefer to hire a guide driver with car on day/hourly basis than buy special tours then the price is usually 9,500 Isk per hour ( aprox 90 Us$), except 8,500 Isk if only Reykjavik sightseeing because it´s less drive. This price is based on 1-4 passengers, if 5-8 passengers then price is 11,500 per hour.

hi... we are 4 adults travelling from 29 oct to 2 nov. we need to go to the aurora bubble one day, with the golden circle tour and also we want to go to ranga hotel in hella for 2 nights with jokursalun glacier and vik sightseeing. and lastly back to reykjavik. we want taxi service as we are not comfortable driving during that time of the year. can you help us?

Hi Amanda, at least within 24 hours but usually just after few hours or as soon as possible after we receive the email.
Customers should always check their spam folder too, since it´s possible that the reply can be marked as spam by some email filters.
