This man made hill resides on the edge of Reykjavik. It sits on the edge of town with nothing else to see in the immediate environ. A climb to the top offers nice views of the town making it a worthwhile visit. The oddity of...More

It’s a semi spherical structure with well trimmed grass and a narrow trail to step up to the top. We went up, took some pictures, couldn’t stay longer due to gusty windchills. The map directions were a bit flawed so follow the green dome structure...More

As of end of May 2018 it's fenced off. If you're hoping to walk up the cool spiral design it's unavailable. I visited it back in 2014 and hoped to show my brother and wife this time. It's still pretty cool but on a colder...More

With my class we went there a few times and we always climbed it up and down, it's pure fun and very interesting.

We had seen this mound from the hotel and asked about it, but nobody could really tell us what it was. We had to resort to the Internet where there seems to be more information on it than in town. It's actually a work of...More

We took a handful of wrong turns to get here but eventually found it. It's a neat site, fun to look around and see the city from a different view. It would be nice to have a little plaque describing the sites historic value.

Didn’t know what this was, but saw people standing on the top and thought it would be a great angle for some unique picture of Reykjavik. I don’t get “art”. Especially not the dried dead fish in the hut at the top. But it’s worth...More

A very interesting place on the old harbour. There is a path leading to the top of the structure but the day we visited it was icy. not sure what the purpose is, but it is very interesting.

We visited and climbed Thufa several times. My son had a lot of fun, which I could not understand. There were a few people on the top, but not a single one could explain the reason for climbing all the way up. Thufa could be...More

The walk out to Thufa from the city center is about 20 minutes and it is worth it. The view from the spot is outstanding right before dawn. A beutiful view out towards Reykjavik
