Our family of four: two adults and two kids did a 2-hour safari ATV tour the last day of our 10-day journey across Iceland. It was a lot of fun going through the rivers and speeding through dirt roads. Kids and adults had a blast and absolutely loved it.
A woman runs this place so everything is clean and nice and she is always very responsive over the phone or email. The guides were very attentive: one upfront and one in the back. At one point, I was afraid to go down a very steep incline and the guide went ahead of me to show how to go without feeling like I was about to flip. I was the only one that chickened out. The drive is not difficult at all otherwise.
The one star was subtracted due to the following, which I think is very easy to correct:
1. The tour is advertised for kids ages 6 and up; however, there is no kids suits or boots. My 8-year old was put into XS adult suit. The crotch area was hanging below his knees with all the pants bunching up at the bottom. It was too heavy and uncomfortable for him. Same goes for my 11-year old. They also had to wear the same size boots as I was wearing. We did snowmobiling on the Glacier with Arcanum Glacier Tours and they had suit that fit my 8-year old and a different size suit that fit my 11-year old, both kids sizes. I think Buggy Adventures should have at least two or three kids suits available.
2. In the middle of our fun trip, we had to cross the highway (while driving on it for about 30 seconds), got a very short straight path, stop, get out of the car, and walk to see some small unimpressive waterfall (after all waterfalls we saw throughout our 10-day journey in Iceland). We had to do it in full gear, with my kids in extremely oversized suits and boots. It was uncomfortable, HOT, not pleasant. Not a single person I talked to enjoyed it. We then got into the buggies and went back, had to cross the highway, got stuck on a highway turning onto a dirt road because there was a car coming out and there was no room. That created a dangerous situation with buggies stopped on highest perpendicular to traffic switch cars approaching full speed. I strongly suggest eliminating that road crossing painful and hot waterfall arm of the drive.
Again, would definitely do it again and absolutely recommend this company.

After arriving in KEF Airport we went straight to "Buggy Adventures" HQ Outside of Reykjavik. We got our Safety Talk and in 10 Minutes we were on our way on our
Private 4x4 Buggies. We did an Incredible Guided Tour, in Deep Snow, On Ice, etc etc. Cannot reccomend it enough.
And btw, you don't need any kit. They have all the kit there. Thick Overalls, Gloves, Boots, Helmets, etc etc you name it, they've got it.

I can't comment on what the actual bugging would be like, because they never picked us up. Told us to wait at the meeting point for pick up between 12.30-1.00 and simply never arrived.
After an hour and a half of waiting in the freezing cold outside, we decided to go home.
After emailing them, they replied saying they were there looking for us. Seems unlikely given we were standing under the bus sign and even asked every pick up bus that pulled up if they were for buggy adventures. They simply forgot about us and didn't have the decency to admit it. It was our final day in ReykjavÃk and we didn't have time to book anything else so they essentially stole the last day from us. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend unless you enjoy standing out in the freezing cold for hours on end and then being lied to.

That was an unreal experience! It was supposed to rain, so we were a bit hesitant at first, but as they say- the wetter the better!
The instructors were super friendly and professional, everything was clean-the cars, the suits, the helmets. The experience itself was super fun and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking!

A group of the guys got together & boy did they have fun! The night before brought some fresh snow & it make for an amazing time! One of us even left something in the jumpsuit they were wearing, and the staff took the time to find it & drop it off at the hotel! Wow - great customer service like that is hard to find! Thanks for a great excursion!

This was a super fun and exciting way to explore Iceland and see some amazing views from snowmobiles on a glacier! The package that we booked had us driving to the glacier in buggies(CFMoto Zforce 1000), riding snowmobiles ON the glacier, and then driving the Buggies back from the glacier. It was a great time and well worth the money!

Effete (Eddie) was great. Professional and friendly. All the equipment, clothing and buggies, is very clean and in excellent condition. Good safety briefing and a super ride. Perfect!

Magnus was great. Started the day with the Golden Circle. Got see places so many places and landmarks.
Ended the trip with 1hr buggy ride which my husband loved. Would definitly book another tour with Magnus. Thanks for a amazing & memorable day!

How are single travelers handled? Do you have to share the buggy with another person? or pay extra for a single driver?

I think you pay per person. We had 2 people in our buggy- I drove. But we paid for both of us to go. If there is an odd person out, I’m sure they’d get a buggy to themselves. You can also message the company. They are super helpful and responsive.
