Due to the effects of Corvid 19 and the uncertain further travel options, we canceled our trip last year. We have strictly adhered to the contractual notice periods and processes. After months of negotiations, we were reimbursed for the trip. However, we made a loss of over € 1000 on repayment due to the Icelandic currency, which has now risen ... so I would no longer recommend this provider.

We booked a Glacier Walk+Ice cave tour which was canceled due to weather conditions; but they offered us another tour which was only a ice cave (for a lower price, and we got refunded the difference). We did the tour on 16th March, and totally by chance ended up having a private tour with a very lovely guide (Olli?) whose name I sadly forgot... He drove us to the location from the parking lot in the surprisingly comfortable Super Jeep, talked very enthusiastically about the area, the caves, the diamond beech and also gave us many insider tips for hikes and quiet locations... he lived at the corner btw! and his sheep was somehow on a steep mountain slope enjoying the fresh grass and he and his family seemed to be planning on how to get him down! (he took a photo and showed us where the sheep was, as we could not believe a sheep could climb that high!....It was a sheep btw!) He also told us about the Icelandic traditions and their YUMMY Fermented Shark!!! For hims it was like eating Candy! (Probably 0000,00001 percent of those who try it would name it candy!)... in the cave, He took us further than the others and we had some magical quiet moments in there (As the cave was being visited with maybe 10 other people, which was many fo us since we hadnt met anyone on our trip till then!). Anyways.... in total, our experience with the Guide to Iceland, and our tour guide makes it only highly recommendable!

Our group of 12 booked a 14 day tour of Iceland. Half had been before and wanted to go again. Guide to Iceland’s agent, Oli, was very kind and helpful throughout the process, which was complicated by the number of people. Because of the Covid restrictions, the trip had to be cancelled, however we will go as soon as we can comfortably do so, and will surely use Oli and Guide to Iceland for our travels.

Guide to Iceland enabled us to perfectly plan our trip around Iceland on our own at a very good price. Very nice and professional service, open to any questions and doubts. I absolutely appreciate Ms Berenika’s help and would like to thank her for organizing the trip. She showed exceptional patience with the changes we made to our trip plan. We fell in love with Iceland and we will be happy to return there.
