Brilliant trip - worth every penny

We did the hot and cool day trip in February and it was amazing. The jeep was great with plenty of room and the guide (sorry, I can't remember his name) was brilliant - really informative. We mentioned that our golden circle trip had been cancelled due to the weather, so the guide stopped off at the Gulfoss waterfalls and the geysers for the toilet breaks, meaning we got a chance to see some of the missed sights.

The trip up to, and back from the snowmobile site/Glacier was a great experience in itself because there was so much snow on the ground (it was so bad, all trips were cancelled in the two days prior to ours). Snowmobiles were great and the kids loved the opportunity to stop off and jump around in the snow.

The secret lagoon was also great, a really relaxing end to the day. If you are travelling with kids, ours were ready to get out after 5-10mins because of how hot it really is but there is a cafe there while you wait for others to finish.

This was worth every penny and after 4 days of cancelled trips this really rescued the trip. The kids (10 and 8) loved every second, as did the adults.

One other thing to mention is that the trip we had originally booked was no longer being offered, Activity Iceland contacted us and switched trips, to a more expensive option at no extra cost. They were also easy to contact and helpful over phone/email when we were in Reykjavik and worried about cancellations etc..

Amazing Private Tours on Reykjanes Pennisula and Into the Glacier

Arranged 2 days of private tours for me and my wife with Activity Iceland and it was a fabulous experience. The car we had was a Toyota SUV with giant snow tires and it could easily get through the snow drifts on the glacier. Our guide/driver was Gisli who is a local Icelander with incredible experience and knowledge. He was outstanding. We had some changes in our agenda due to weather issues and Harpa was easily able to adjust and accommodate us. Gisli took has to a very local place for lunch on Day 1 and we had the best local cod we have ever tasted. With a private tour, we were able to adjust the agenda to see a special waterfall or something else. On the second day we went Into the Glacier and that was just incredible. We also saw the most amazing waterfall of the vacation. The trips were very memorable and we will definitely use Activity Iceland for our next vacation to Iceland. Highly Recommended.

Wow what an experience! It was the highlight of our trip! Pickup was on time and the super jeep was amazing! Our driver couldn't do enough for us (Staines (our driver) was very knowledgeable, apologies may have incorrect spelling). We visited the national park, geisers & gulfoss waterfall before snowmobiling on the glacier. It had snowed heavy the night before so looked truly magical.
Once in a lifetime experience that we won't forget - worth every penny! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Iceland

What a day out! This is a must do when visiting Iceland. Aaron the guide was fantastic he was full of information and funny and just a great lad. The scenery speaks for its self but you take it next level in the super Jeep reaching places you just can’t get to but car/4x4.

We had a fabulous day yesterday, despite conditions being treacherous and a jeep malfunction. We could not say enough about our tour guide Magnus. He was great fun, informative, patient, enthusiastic and very passionate about his job and his country. He definitely made our trip memorable. An extremely skilled driver who was confident and competent in the sometimes hairy moments getting to the glacier!!! The snow mobiling was exhilarating and an experience we will cherish forever. The highlight of our trip!

Awesome Arnie delivered a fab day!

Arnie, and the big white van, arrived promptly to pick us up from our hotel and despite inbound snow storms showed us some of the best Iceland had to offer.

The van was comfortable, clean and warm. It coped really well with tough snowy and gale force weather, and were very safe. It's definitely better and safer than hiring a 4x4 and trying to drive in the wintery weather. Arnie was very capable, knowledgeable, and really friendly. We had a private booking and Arnie adjusted and adapted the route thinking about us and our needs with Autistic children.

By UK prices it was expensive, but slightly cheaper than all the other options.

We were able to do the golden circle to see the power station, geysers, frozen waterfalls, the thing, and miles of high, snowy, beautiful mountain views.

Fantastic day out

Had such a good day, the jeeps are really cool and the snowmobiling is brilliant. Golden circle tour is epic! Our guide Aaron (not sure if I have spelt his name correctly) was so helpful and knowledgeable.

We were only a small group and it made a massive difference to the day, a lot better than a coach trip. Would highly recommend this trip👌

Everything you can wish - and a bit more

We had a perfect winter private trip with a sprinter and Gunni as a very skilled guide to Kerlingarfjöll. We were extremely lucky with the weather (one day before a hurricane) and the car and the spots and ... everything. Not a cheap thing (like kind of everything in Iceland), but worth each krona. ... and we even have some time to review our favorite golden circle highlights such as Gullfoss, Geysir and a little bit of Porsmork...

Glacier dream experience

This was one of the highlights of the holiday. You can’t quite match seeing the sun sparkle off a glacier that plus the fun of driving a snow mobile. A bit cold so not for the faint hearted. We were looked after amazingly by the team, absolutely no faults.

Excellent Tour Company for your Icelandic Adventure

We just returned from a 5 day vacation from Iceland which was handled end to end by Activity Iceland. Must say we were very happy with the entire service. Eydis from their team helped us plan a 5 day tour, months in advance. Post many emails to and fro must say we got the perfect itinerary in place. Thank you Eydis for all your patience and help.

Touring the Golden Circle, Langjokul Glacier, Thorsmork, the various waterfalls, hiking at Solheimajokull Glacier, our entire trip of Iceland was filled with activity and adventure which was lot enhanced in the comfort of the Super jeep provided by Activity Iceland. Travelling off road in the Super jeep is an adventure in itself.

Lastly, i need to really compliment our driver and guide for the 5 days. John was exceptional in his services. He went all out to ensure we had a great trip. Planning lunch stops in remote places, assisting us in our glacier hike, telling us about his beautiful country. i could probably praise his efforts for a few paragraphs.

Thank you for a great trip to Iceland !! We are sure to refer a lot of our friends and family to go and experience the beautiful country with the exception travel company Activity Iceland.
