GADEMM LEGENDARY
Feb 2018 • Solo
The one and only place in Iceland for experimental music.
Intimate and pretty, the venue offers an eclectic and yet high standard program.
This is the place.

Wonderful local venue
Aug 2017 • Solo
I attended The Yellow Experience on 9 August, and it was a delight, an interesting melange of a lecture, dinner, video show, and interactive art piece.

ultra interesting music venue
Apr 2016
If you have a taste for the eclectic and innovative this is the place for you. There are a couple of performances every week and they run from avant/improvisational music to mixed media/theatrical shows. The room is very intimate (75 people max) and I have seen several famous Icelandic artists/musicians also attending over the 5 visits I have made myself. Beer and wine are available as are cd's of various musicians. I love this place!!!

Experimental music in Reykjavik: we found it!
Jul 2015 • Couples
We were really hoping to find an experimental music scene in Reykjavik. We knew there had to be one, and MENGI didn't disappoint - it's like the best of the venues we like to go to in Brooklyn: small, friendly, with cool programming. The night we went we saw a solo set by Arnljótr Sigurðsson, who we didn't know before, and loved it.
