While most people don't associate Iceland with snorkeling, the cool Nordic country actually offers plenty of underwater marvels -- you'll just need a wetsuit. With this experience, a professional guide will take you to Silfra, a fissure between North America and Europe in Thingvellir National Park that marks where the two continental plates are slowly drifting apart. You and your group will get a chance to spend around 40 minutes in the water before heading back to shore.

Combining snorkeling and caving gives you the ultra experience of Icelandic nature. You will explore the hidden world of the lava fields on foot and underwater. The cave we will visit is called Leiðarendi. The 900 meter long lava tube offers unique rock formations, such as stalactites and shelves.
Some light crawling may be required yet Leiðarendi cave has a rather easy access to the underworld wonders of the Icelandic lava fields.
Snorkel in between two continents at one of the top diving sites in the planet! Silfra is located in Iceland’s National Park, Thingvellir, and is a fissure that was formed by the divergent tectonic drift of the Eurasian and North American plates. What makes Silfra exceptionally unique is not only its geological significance, but it is also world-renowned for its crystal clear, fresh glacial water.
No diving experience or diving license is needed for this experience, and all the gear that you need is provided.

Why not start your day snorkeling in one of the top dive sites on this planet, Silfra fissure, and then drive the famous 300 kilometer Golden Circle sightseeing route in southern Iceland?
Silfra’s clarity is unlike anything else and a must-see on your trip in Iceland. No experience required but all participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in water. Pick up and drop off in Reykjavík included.
After the snorkeling we will take you on the Golden Circle tour, which is the most popular tourist route in Iceland. We will start at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir, where Althing was established around 930, but Thingvellir is where the two continents, Europe and America, meet. During the Golden Circle tour we will also visit the geothermal active valley Haukadalur where among others, the hot spring geysers Geysir and Strokkur are located and also we’ll be checking out the waterfall Gullfoss.
Join us on this unforgettable adventure!

I truely enjoyed my time snorkeling, but what made the experience even better was the guides. Bart, Evian, and Rob made the crazy adventure more enjoyable by joking around, helping us in any way they could (even if it meant getting lifted into the air...More

It was an Amazing experience. Water was cold (2 degrees) but we were well equipped with dry suit. The clear water let you see beyond 100 meters and we swam between Eurasia and North America. Our guide Luis was very kind and professional.

Before the activity I was really nervous. I’m a plus size woman and the idea of a really tight suit stressed me out. Adam eased my nerves immediately and was there to help anytime I needed assistance the entire trip. Silfra is absolutely breathtaking.
