Mercury Grail is small company located in heart of Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. Company was established 2008 by Andres Zoran Ivanovic original from Slovenia, living in Iceland in since 1988. Our experience is rich of services for different types of tourist, but mostly are our customers family people, business people, seniors, private and organized groups. Other type of groups or individuals are welcome of course. Iceland can be your country to travel in case you are nature lover so here are thousands of waterfalls, lakes, mountains and mostly is country wild, so you can´t find all in one so easy as in Iceland. We are organizing custom made tours to several adventures country offering. I had a privilege to spend two days touring with Andres and I enjoyed every second of the tour. Andres was very accommodating, knowledgeable and he made our trip thoroughly interesting and enjoyable. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of Icelandic attractions in short amount of time. Definitely worth the money spent. I’d recommend Mercury Grail to everyone who is looking for personalised experience for a fair price.
Keep up a good work Andres. I’m sure i will be seeing you again at some point.

Thank you Sonja to be a guest of Mercury Grail. We always have highly memorized travels with that kind of easygoing traveler. I am sorry that nights with northern lights haven´t been with you. The reason more to come back, right?

Andres was a delightful guide for our Northern lights experience. He took us out to multiple locations and stuck it out 'til we got out our view, and then was willing to wait until the lights finally faded with us. With the conditions we had on the night, we were lucky we had him as a guide.

Thank you for very sincere review. You both were also very outstanding travellers, and yes, we catch northern lights well. Actually, the forecast didn´t promise that well but we have seen them. It just happened in a good way you deserve, thanks to the weather, not me at all. I just know for that kind of private hidden location, so I am happy the trip to Iceland will stay in your memory.

Andres spent two long days showing us well known and lesser known sights. We had made detailed plans in advance by email but the weather was iffy and changeable, so he had to be highly flexible and indefatigable. He was eager to share his knowledge of his adopted country. He has many interesting ideas about the world and loved conversation. You will be in good hands...

Thank you very much for this kind review. Believe, however, tours weren´t short, they didn´t make me tired. You both are type of person, people can´t sleep beside, since the conversation about Iceland or completely other topics simply running and running. And yes. On emails early this year, I already knew, that you are preparing well enough before each of your travel, so many things you already knew. Prepared traveler is always with some kind of priority since he/she aspect all described or less as sometimes weather can make some things worst than predicted.

I hired Andres to take my family (2 adults, 2 kids) for a full day tour of southern Iceland. Andres was very accommodating and designed a tour that stopped at some of the most spectacular locations Iceland has to offer while staying within our shore-leave time window. He was very responsive to questions via WhatsApp before our tour, picked us up promptly at the cruise terminal, and made adjustments to our tour on the fly to accommodate weather, traffic, and our preferences to spend more time at one site vs. another. Andres was always quick to offer to take a photo and made occasional stops along the way to point out natural features or wildlife. I highly recommend Andres and his company.

Your tour can´t be good without all of you. I am not the only one making it. Travellers in your case, your family participated a lot, since you all have been interesting and it counts very much. My husband and I did two trips with Andres and enjoyed each day very much. We took the Golden Circle tour on arrival day in Reykavik and then we were taken to the ship. And then, Immediately after disembarkation, Andres took us to see all in the Reykjanes peninsula area. The scenery is spectacular and the history interesting. We highly recommend booking with Mercury Grail.

It really was my pleasure to be with you on these two tours. Somehow I noticed you have a wide background in other areas too, so communication hasn´t been just about Icelandic nature, culture, and tours at all.
I am very happy you got some new knowledge and new experience in Iceland, with me or with other operators. Your decision to visit time, however in this unpredictable time was correct.

We had a great experience with Andres. We are 3 senior couples. Had private golden circle tour w secret lagoon.
Andres is knowledgeable and offers the traveler a great deal of information on Iceland and its people.
We went to the National Park where he explained we were straddling North America and Eurasia Teutonic plates. Stopped at an organic farm for homemade ice cream. We went to the Grima geyser which we saw spouting from the road. After that we went to the Gullfoss Waterfall stunning. Even saw a rainbow there. We then had lunch there. Andres had shared this was a family run business.
This was a very full day and something we could not have duplicated on any other tour offered. At the end of day we came across sheep herding which blocked traffic and held us up. Andres offered to still take us to the crater but we opted out as it was getting close to departure time for our cruise.
The next day, in another port, we were in a bus excursion where the bus went on fire. Andres, knowing it was our itinerary, reached out to ensure we were all ok. We really appreciated that!
Great guy. Super tour. Would love to come back and see more of Iceland with Andres as our guide. Highly recommend.

Thank you for this good review, Tricia. I enjoyed travelling with you very much. There are several reasons for that. As I told during the tour, there are travellers coming to Iceland for selfies and others, like you. You belong to the group of non-selfie makers. You came to see and know more, learn new country, new culture or even problems inside the country. All countries have some including Iceland. On that way, I believe you went from a little more rich of new experience and knowledge.
About next day. Have been to my friend and he can talk with guests without watching the news on the TV. It was a time reporter told about burning bus and its location. Well. I recognize immediately that there were travellers from your cruise ship. In the moment all I can do is to send message on Whatsapp however I can´t help from so far distance. I am happy you came safe out of this trouble.
I am also aware someone else, both, operators and travellers, would rather say, "Who cares, I will never see them again." That mindset is not working for me. I stay with my travellers even years after they have been with me on tour and it is right way I believe.

We had a great private tour. Pickup point was well defined and on time. We never felt rushed at any points of interest. We highly recommend any tour with Andres. We got some good photos and videos especially of the eruption.

Andrés was a fantastic guide. Our first night was cancelled as Andres advised there was no chance of seeing the lights. The second night, Andres talked us through the likelihood of seeing the lights and we decided to go for it. We didn’t have to drive far from the city before we saw the lights. We stayed out for a couple of hours, having taken Andres advice and saw the most amazing colors and show. I would and have recommended Andres as a great guide.

Sophie. Thank you for this wonderful review. Still, today am I thinking of you and your family since that night didn´t look to be so very special at all. But it developed above my expectations.
It is how northern lights are working. Sometimes just a small cloud may be enough to cover lights, sometimes the forecast is wrong, sometimes, GPS transfer is delayed. But on your travelling date, I really can´t aspect much more compared with other things needed for light.

Andres organised, at very short notice, a bespoke day tour for me. From the moment that Andres met me at the airport to the moment he dropped me back there, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Some of the memorable stop off locations included Reykjanesbaer, the hot springs of Grindavik and of course a full tour of the capital Reykjavik.
I will definitely be back with the family in the near future and I can sincerely recommend the services of Mercury Grail.

Very true. You caught me at the very last minute. In the end often people say it was meant to do or to be on a particular day in a particular location or to meet person to person.
I am very happy you got something out of that tour which wasn´t long since your stay in Iceland wasn´t long.
After your departure back home somehow I only received mail from your country and a few days later I have been on a tour with travellers living not that far away from your location. It is not happening all the time that so many writing or travelling for many days from the same world area.
Will be glad to do another tour with your family too.

Great experience! Went to the Secret Lagoon and Kerid Crater. Was able to customize our tour and Andres was great! Very laid back and even stopped a few extra places in between. Went to an amazing tomato farm. Easy and never rushed. Would definitely book again and it was a great time!

Does the Golden Circle + Blue Lagoon Day Tour include entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon, and if so, which entry level?

Hello. Just editing this answer. Blue lagoon do not allow selling tickets via third partners. They are aware of commissions so best way for this tour is to purchase ticket for that day, or we can do that too. It is definitely cheaper and more flexible variant.
