There is one word above all others that screams 'Reykjavik Nightlife': Kaffibarinn. Not everybody loves the place, but everyone knows exactly where it is and would be sad if it ever closed down. But there is very little risk of that, if the queues...more

Good beer and great atmosphere. We had a lovely corner seat where we could people watch. At the time we were there, they had some nibbles up for grabs. I first thought it was a private party but then observed that everyone seemed to help...More

This is a fabulous bar to visit with excellent craft beers. As withy everywhere in Reykjavík it is expensive so make sure you visit in Happy Hour. Seems to be frequented by locals and a few tourists. Gets busy on a weekend. Lovely place with...More

Visited this bar for our first experience of Icelandic beer - and wasn't disappointed! Nice bar which gets fairly busy and a great choice of beer - even better during 'happy hour'!

Probably the most famous bar in town, given its links to '101 Reykjavik' and Damon Albarn. Apparently a bit wild but was quiet when we visited in the early evening. Small, front bar, narrow room at back. Looks like there's an upstairs but this was...More

We stumbled across this place and luckily found a table in the corner. You can tell all the locals like hanging out there bc most of them had their dogs running around loosely. Good beer selection. Nice, friendly staff. Make sure to go when there...More

Great little place, full of local hipsters! Music was super chilled and they served local gin- win win in my book! Recommend for sure!

We did really enjoy the atmosphere but the bartender was rude and they do not have any sort of mixer except tonic. Also good to know, they do not allow you to take pictures inside the pub. This is apparently for the “privacy” of the...More

Sometimes this is the place... specially after midnight, or even after 3 o'clock when the tourists are few. Yes, sometimes there are to many tourists there wearing mountain climbing clothes. If you are coming, dress like you want to party and party like there's no...More

Cozy bar with good prices. An interesting mix of tourists and locals. Not much happening if you go early in the evening so have some pre-preparty at home and hit the bars after midnight.
