This was a great tour. Our guide was Marteinn the owner who started the company. He was a great guide who combined insightful history and a fun amount of humor. It was easy to tell he loves Iceland where he was born and raised. We did the free city tour but ended up tipping him $25 U.S because it was so good and worth it. We went in January 2nd. It was cold and snowy so he gave us several stops inside to warm up.

Wonderful tour! Nanna was our guide, and she was very informative, friendly, and fun. She provided a wide range of interesting info about the history of the city/country and life in Iceland as we walked through several interesting areas of the city (both indoor and outdoor). Highly recommend this tour, especially if you are interested in the history and culture of Reykjavik and Iceland. It also provided a great starting point for our exploration of the city on our own over the next few days.

This was a great (and cheap) way to explore the city of Reykjavik and learn a bit about Icelandic history and culture. Our guide Nanna was funny and informative. Even though it's free, don't forget to leave a tip at the end (cash as well as online donation is an option).

We did the free city walk tour with Erik. He was extremely informative and humourous, answering lots of our questions about the city and Iceland. The tour is only 2km and takes about 2 hours covering all the main sights of the city as well as some hidden gems. Great way to start your holiday and to get your bearings/recommendations for things to see, bars and restaurants to visit from a knowledgeable local. Highly recommended.

We took the free walking tour of downtown with a very pleasant guide (I did not catch his name) who said he had been doing this for only three weeks! He was knowledgeable about the city and happy to take questions. I really enjoyed the tour, I like to do these on my first couple of days in any city to help me get my bearings and some recommendations for things to see and do. You can pay your guide in cash at the end or there is a link on the email with your booking confirmation. As such it is not really a free tour, you are expected to pay / tip your guide but I think most people understand this. I really enjoyed this tour, it was a very useful way to spend a couple of hours and to our tour guide (again, sorry I did not catch your name or know how to spell it) thank you, and this was great especially for only having the job for three weeks. I highly recommend the tour.

Erik Was great. He took his time to introduce himself individually to everyone at the start of the tour as people arrived. Really knowledgeable. I’d recommend doing this when you first arrive as you get some top tips. -such as where the local public spa is. I often do these ‘free’ walking tours When I arrive in the city because the guys usually put a lot more effort in to make it entertaining than some other tours. We just make sure we give a good tip at the end.

Nanna is a wonderful guide! She was informative and funny - always a must on a walking tour. The center of Reykjavik is pretty compact, but we covered a lot of ground and got a good sense of the history and culture of Iceland along the way (especially as it relates to hot dogs and elven antics!). We’ve done many, many free walking tours over the last several years and Nanna stands out as a particularly strong guide: her balance of humor and knowledge provided us with a great foundation for our time in Reykjavik, as well as an appreciation for the people and unique culture of Iceland. Thank you, Nanna!

The Citywalk tour was excellent. The guide Asta was very knowledgeable and this was added to by a great sense of humour! Despite not having a microphone she spoke loudly and clearly enough that it was very easy to hear her. I would highly recommend this tour as if you don't go on it you will miss a lot of extremely interesting information past and present about Reykjavik.

Superb introduction to Iceland. Highly recommend for your first day in Reykjavik as a great way to get your bearings, learn a tonne and grab some valuable hints on things to do, places to eat etc. Tómas was witty and highly knowledgable and would like to thank him for his suggestion to try the public baths. If he hadn’t mentioned that they were totally free for one night only, I wouldn’t be lying here in a state of extreme relaxation. Cheers Tómas !

We were lucky enough to take this two-hour walking tour on the afternoon of Saturday 11th March 2023. Our guide was Mo, who was welcoming, engaging, always interesting, informative and funny. Aside from his knowledge of both city and country, he was always open to questions from the group and was a wonderful ambassador for the city. We would recommend anyone taking this tour to seek Mo as their guide: you won’t be disappointed. Mo, it was our pleasure to enjoy your company and we wish you and your family all good wishes for the future.
