We had a lovely time at this museum. It's not huge but it is interesting with enough information to keep you busy for a few hours. It is free for up to 18 year olds which is great.

Excellent exhibition showing the history of Iceland. Definitely worth a trip even if you only have an hour to whip through it.

The artifacts here are limited compared to other civilizations ie Greece. Some of the cabinets are difficult to see and read due to low lighting to protect the artifacts. It was interesting enough for a day that offered not much else.

Some beautiful exhibitions, only 4* because it's a little pricey but a lovely place to visit with free lockers.

Was well worth a couple of hours to put Icelandic history and timeline in perspective. Extra bonus, unlike some museums, plenty of opportunities to sit and take a weight off your feet.
