Great stores. Very clean and easy access. The Finnsson Bistro is a great restaurant. , great food and great people. Two great groceries - Bonus and Hagkaup are two options to buy groceries.

Very nice mall and amazing Food court. it was lovely going around, quality of shops are very good and location very quiet, not the usual overwhelming mall. Top notch as anything in Iceland.

Typical western style mall. People watching in the food court is a great activity as a tourist trying to understand the life of an Icelander. A lot of teenagers hang in the mall and the stores are very well stocked and good products. We purchased our cell phone there to use in Iceland and also ate at the food court. Worth spending some time there and definitely a grocery store and general store are available there. We just couldn't find gas for our camping stove and a cooler. We had to get that from a camping specialty store located at the edge of town by the storage tanks.

Kringlan Mall is pretty much like any other mall in Canada or the United States. Teens walking around like they own the place, small boutique shops, a food court, a movie theatre, Apple related products available and so on. Parking is tight and it seems to bunch up quite easily, I'd hate to see it when it's really busy! The hours of operation are a lot less than a North American mall, so check them before going. There is a unique Icelandic store with plenty of good souvenirs and a decent grocery store. Other than that, unless you like malls that are "American" in style, you can skip Kringlan.

It was raining so this was a great place to stay dry. There is a large variety of shops to entertain you.

I was there yesterday, the mall is ok, has some nice high end shops, two general groceries and very interesting small boutiques but the layout of the mall itself is confusing as hell!! To get in i just followed a local that went from the same bus I did, but to find a way out for walkers that didnt lead directly to a closed parking lot was stressful, i even asked for directions to a shop worker and he looked at me like i was stupid! oh well, i guess i just got stressed, but seriously, work on the signs and paths!

Visited this mall by taking the free shuttle bus from City Hall. There is a food court with many eatery. Many quality shops hosted in this mall. If you have some spare time you may drop by to visit the probably best shopping mall in town.

The official Kringlan Mall page informed me that the last free shuttle bus schedule was 5:30 pm. We waited since 5pm and no one showed up. We had to pay a taxi to Reykjavik downtown which cost us 25 dollars. Terrible customer service.

Hi. Thank you very much for your comment. Due to recent change in time schedule, there was 5:30 pm trip on our website, when the right thing is that the last ride from Kringlan is at 4:30. We are so sorry. If you are still in Reykjavik, please contact me if you plan to visit Kringlan again, baldvina@kringlan.is. Best regards, Baldvina Snaelaugsdottir, marketing manager

My boyfriend's list of things to do in Iceland were short and sweet: experience what we would do if we lived in Reykjavik which meant a trip to the Kringlan Mall during the weekend!

At first I thought why would I want to schlep to a mall after coming all this way to Iceland and its incredible sights and landscape. But I'm glad we went. We got to glimpse everyday life at Kringlan Mall, and it's comforting and grounding to see Icelanders going about their weekend just as we would back home.

Families were out with their kids waiting to get their balloon animals. Teens roamed in packs. Couples enjoyed time together arm in arm. There was an event that attracted a large crowd, but was only in Icelandic so no clue what it was for. The food was a little more reasonably priced at the mall. Many stores were familar to remind us the globalization of huge corporations, while others were Icelandic.

Because I'm passionate about all things architectural and green, seeing a green roof on Hamborgarafabrikkan (the Hamburger factory) was my hands down favorite sight at the Mall.

Bottom line: if you have time to explore past the touristy places, don't just hang out in the tourist center of Reykjavik, the city buses are easy to figure out and will get you around to see the whole city of Reykjavik

Excellent shopping centre, clean and comfy chairs if you get knackered. Just what you would expect anywhere in a modern country...... Nice food and coffee. It is not a tourist attraction by any stretch of the imagination.. However it has a couple of outdoor stores with high end products...
