We offer Taste the Saga Thursday to Saturday at 6 pm. Taste the Saga is a unique brewery experience where we start with the most important thing, the beer. During this fun and informative program our charismatic and energetic hosts will take you on a surprisingly entertaining journey through the Icelandic drinking culture. As we delve deeper into this strange tale we also get more adventurous with the tastings. We try out a selection of our finest beers, including some of our wonderful craft brews from Borg, our very own microbrewery. While quenching your thirst for beer and knowledge, everyone should find something to their liking. Come Taste the Saga with us at the oldest brewery in Iceland and enjoy a great start to your evening out.

If you’re from the states and have gone on a 100 tours, this one will be the best of all. You walk in and instantly get a pint of their gold lager. Then as the history of the place goes along you’ll get more and...More

Great non traditional brewery tour. Our guide Sylvia was knowledgeable and funny. Beer sampling was plentiful. You do a short brewery tour, but this is more of an Icelandic Beer history tour. We had a great time!

We often do brewery tours and on reading about this one it seemed perfect for a treat for my other halfs birthday while we visited Iceland...and it was! Though a very short evening, Anna entertained us from start to end with the history of Icelands...More

Silvia was outstanding! As our host she not only took us through the history of alcohol in Iceland, she had us rolling on the floor laughing! Not to mention we tasted a vast array of Icelandic beverages too. A must do!

Full marks to Sylvia for keeping us entertained with stories of prohibition. Starts with a full bottle of the "gold" award winning regular beer,no tasting measures here. Fabulous evening, made friends for life, or at least a great couple of hours. Thanks for the trip...More

Excellent experience - this isn't a walking tour of the brewery. This is a tasting tour of icelands beer!! It was great fun - Happy our host was excellent with the historical information and hilarious with his icelandic humour. This is definitely the cheapest way...More

I have been on a lot of brewery tours in the UK over the years and many follow a similar format. A welcome, and in depth tour of the facility and how they make beer, with a small tasting at the end. Taste the sage...More

I did this tour as a solo (introverted) traveler one evening, and I had such a blast. Our guide, Sylvia, was so entertaining and fun, and we were laughing the whole evening (and not just because of the alcohol). The sample sizes were pretty generous...More

The comedy was ok, fun to see a part of the brewery but sorry to say the beers were not at all good or innovative, we recieved mainly lager types and some haf some alcohol shots in them, it felt little about the beer.

We had Anna from Greece and she was informative and entertaining. The emphasis is more on testing beers and the strange history of beer in Iceland. Not so much on touring the factory. It was a great time, if you are a beer aficionado this...More

Hi, no food available on the tour and as it takes place at tge brewery in the middle of an industrial estate, I'd eat before going out to be honest. no food places nearby.

Hi there: Sorry for the delayed answer. You can, but as stated above, this is about drinking so I'm not convinced that a 4 y/o would find this experience enjoyable. But it's the parents call at all times.
