Definitely use this firm if you are thinking about going whale watching . The yacht was lovely below deck nice ,clean toilets , a bar with snacks , comfy chilled area with cushions and windows to see out if you didn't want to be out in the cold .
Other firms were taking their boats out the same time as us and it looked like too many people were all crammed on together with no space to move . Because there were less people on our boat you could move around freely , also because the boat was lower than the others you got a better view of the whales and dolphins and we seemed to get closer than the other boats around us .
We really enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money .

We have just arrived back from a wonderful whale watching trip where we saw 3 humpback whales, a minky whale, porpoises and many many dolphins. Initially we were reluctant to book the trip through fear of not seeing anything but we were not disappointed. The guides were friendly and informative and we saw an abundance of marine life and at close range. Many thanks for a very memorable trip.

Booked this trip the day before going for my husband, as was on his bucket list & part of his 50th birthday present. The crew on the boat were great, could not fault them, very welcoming & knowledgeable. The weather was absolutely perfect for a boat trip, the sea was calm, sun was shining & the yacht is gorgeous. I picked this particular boat trip as it is a smaller craft than a lot of the boats & plenty of room to see, not overcrowded. Best of all.....we got to see a female humpback whale with her calf & a male escort. Truly amazing!!

Would highly recommend this family run business
25 year old yacht refurbished to a high standard the owner/guide and his son very very informative lovely genuine people if I’d off been in contact with these guys I’d off booked all other tours through them if In Iceland I’d make this a must very reasonable rate and to try the local food as you know it’s not a given you’ll get to see the lights but we were lucky as you can see a little off on are photo

My family arranged a Puffin tour with this company for 6.24.17 and on 6.23.17 we received an email from Harpa cancelling the tour because of engine maintenance. They assured us we would receive an immediate reverse of payment (in this case a credit card charge). We arranged a tour with a competitor and awaited the refund.
Well four emails later and a dispute filed with the credit card charged still has not resulted in a return of the payment. Buyer beware.

Dear Margaret.
We are truly sorry about your inconvenience due to the delay of the refund. As you say in your review we had to cancel the tour and everybody who had booked got a refund. For some mistake yours did go through right away and we are truly sorry about that. That was partly our fault and partly misunderstanding between our office and the credit card company. This is the first time we experience problem like this and we will do our best to make sure it will not happen again.
If you and your family are in Iceland again we would be very happy to invite you on a puffin tour or a northern lights tour if you come during the winter time.

Received no notification that the tour was cancelled. Essentially I booked this during the morning of the day I was departing back home. Hence I got up early, checked out of my hotel, and when I showed up I was greeted with no staff and signage saying the tour is cancelled due to weather. I am happy they put safety first by cancelling but I should have been notified. I then had to decide what to do the rest of the morning and early afternoon on a whim as I didn't have a hotel room any more. Customer service is lacking. When I contacted them, they offered no apology, did not even say hello or give a greeting and just said they refunded me.

Don't book this cruise. You will pay extra for an intimate experience on a small yacht, blankets provided.....etc. but you are paying for nothing!
What this company do is outsource and use the same boat as the larger tours. We knew we were being taken for a ride but even though we asked the guide 3 times she told us we were going on the boat we had booked. Once the boat (with over 100 people on it) has left the harbour the guide told us to contact the company for a refund.
2 weeks later I am still trying to get someone to take my concerns seriously! Waste of money!

Having booked a yacht tour months advance through a holiday company to arrive and be told a private booking had been taken instead and for all other passengers to be put on a different experience without being told before hand or without an option is just terrible customer service with just a note saying go to a different provider instead of having someone to speak to.

Yes, enjoying the northern lights from a boat is an fascinating experience.
Besides, you also get to enjoy a view of the illuminated Reykjavik city from a different perspective.

Family holiday and Birthday celebration. Was so looking forward to our whale watching trip aboard the luxury yacht only to be told it would no longer be on the yacht but that we had been put on what I can only describe as a rusty looking ferry ( see pics ) with a completely different tour operator , with no offer of any apology or compensation. Could add a lot more, just DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

We are sorry to read your review and please let me correct your false statements.
We do not advertise our tour on a "luxury yacht", but a comfortable motor yacht. Still, compared to the other options our yachts are luxury.
We use two motor yachts, Harpa 35 passengers and Amelia Rose 95 passengers. Both are very nice, have comfortable inside facilities and good outside viewing decks. The price is the same for both yachts and we use both simultaneously.
The day you went out with your family, we saw minke whales, a humpback and dolphins so a great day at the sea.
We are sorry to say that everything you write in your review is wrong.
