After much research (!) and a recommendation from our hotel concierge, we decided to hire Iceland in a Day for a private two-day, one-night tour for our family of four adults. This was a brilliant decision, if I may say so myself--they are a first rate company and we had a tour we will remember all our lives. We combined the Super Jeep South Coast and Glacier Tour with an ice cave, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, and black diamond beach tour the second day. We overnighted at Vatnajokull Glacier, so we could be close to the caves the next day. Orri was our A+ driver. He met us at our hotel in Reykjavik the first morning in an awesome super jeep and whisked us away. I cannot begin to say how happy we were with Orri and the excellent staff (I dealt with Heidur) at Iceland in a Day. Orri is very professional, very interesting, and a just a pleasure to spend time with. I had read excellent reviews of him at TripAdvisor, and no one was exaggerating about his wonderfulness as a guide! In addition, he is passionate about his country and his family traces their Icelandic heritage back for many generations. What a fantastic introduction to a beautiful place and culture! One day was better than the next. We visited black sand beaches, walked up to water falls, wondered at black basalt column caves, hiked on a glacier with crampons and ice picks, entered the magical world of glacier caves, saw the stunning glacier lagoon in the arctic sunset, picked across a black sand beach littered with ice bergs, and even got a glimpse of the northern lights that night. The professionalism of the company is so high, we did not miss a thing, even with a bit of weather change. On our second day, we had planned to explore the famous ice caves in Vatnajokull glacier. Orri's car could not quite handle the new snow on the glacier, so Orri hired a local guide with a super super jeep, and without any fuss at all, and made sure we got to see the caves. Even after we had seen and experienced so much, Orri topped everything. He asked if we would be interested in seeing a bit of Icelandic heritage and took us to an abandoned farm. There we walked around and explored the old buildings, the main home (in pristine shape), and even a tiny wooden church. It was our favorite stop of all! While this trip is not cheap, it was worth much much more than we actually paid. Orri and Iceland in a Day delivered the tour of a lifetime!

Olä was our guide and he was the absolute best! We went on another guided tour that was nice, but this tour was great because it was private, just the six of us. We didn’t have super strict time restrictions at each site which made it more relaxing. Olä shared so much knowledge about Iceland, it’s culture and people. Would 100% recommend this tour. We saw all these places in ONE day and weren’t completely exhausted at the end: Thingvellir national park and historic site, Gullfoss waterfall, the glacier Langjökull, and the Geysir geothermal area. Thanks for the best day in Iceland, Olä!

It was incredibly fortunate we got Ole as our guide and driver. My second trip and my cousins first trip. Ole was "fookin" great. He knew the best routes to take and made the day, Sunday September 2nd, one of my best travel days ever. He was funny, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He knew about our destinations, but he was also amenable to conversation about Iceland, history, life in general. A very cool dude. When I come back and book another tour, will pick this company and ask for Ole. Keep up the great tours guys. Best wishes for continued success. Thanks, Rich King and Timmy King.

Oli picked us up at our hotel in his bright aqua colored super Jeep and we were off for one FUN day! We had no idea what to expect. We had a BLAST!! We went hiking. We drove two black beaches that were totally secluded except for two surfers. We climbed up a waterfall. We witnessed a glacier slowly melting away. Oli taught us Iceland history. The Vikings. He was so accommodating and made sure we fit in as much as we could in ten hours. It was a day we will never forget and we have Oli to thank for making our one full day in Iceland so memorable! Thank you Oli!

We arrived in Iceland with our three teenage sons...ready for adventure! Our family was picked up at our hotel by Oli in his super jeep. He was amazing! We saw one thing after another all day long for two full days. We managed to squeeze in long hikes, waterfall viewing, snowmobiling (and getting to the top of the glacier in our jeep!), views of the glacier, a dip in the hot springs, off roading to the volcano, and a drive along the black sand beaches. Oli even helped by stopping to let our middle son rest with a mild case of car sickness. THE BEST!!
