We arrived in Reykjavik on Wednesday around midnight, slept in on Thursday morning, and started our vacation in Iceland on Thursday afternoon with a tour of the city on segways with Sway. Linda picked us up at our apartment and took us to our starting point, and after a few minutes of instruction we were off! Great tour, great overview of the city, great commentary by Linda (helmets with headphones are excellent), and 2 1/2 hours later not only were we segway experts but we also knew the sites and restaurants of Reykjavik we wanted to return to for a longer visit. Absolutely the best way to start a vacation in Iceland! Thanks, Linda!

Stefan was a great tour guide and segways and bikes were a great way to see the city, the sights. Highly recommend it. Leave 3 hours to do this if you are a larger group and take in this trip on your first day to get your bearings around the city. Stefan is a great instructor and made everyone comfortable with the use of segways before departure. Make your booking in advance.

Thank you so much for saying I’m a great tourist guide. This is of course what every tourist guide wants to hear :-) I can say the same about you too, you are wonderful and I really enjoyed showing you around Reykjavik by Segway. True, booking in advance is a great idea because we may not always have a guide on standby for walk-ins. Stefan

My wife and I love using Segways when we visit a city. We set up a couple of hours with Sway in Reykjavik and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The entire process from making initial email contact to coffee and hot chocolate at the end of the tour was great.

The helmets provided are clean and have a warm liner but even better, they have been setup with audio so that you can hear the guide's commentary while on the move. The Segways also looked new and in good condition.

Our guide Linda is a resident who knows the town intimately and provided a continual stream of interesting information. This was presented in friendly conversational way. I got the impression that Linda was enjoying herself as much as we were (unlike some guides who have studied the town in Wikipedia and just regurgitate boring facts). The tour is mainly around the edge of the city and takes you to sights you would not normally see (besides which, you can walk around the centre in a morning and see most of the sights).

From being picked up at our hotel to the hot chocolate, biscuits and an offer to be dropped off at the hotel the whole trip was great.

I really recommend Sway and Linda.

Thank you Rorywquin for your excellent and detailed review! We are glad that the entire process was great, we really want to provide excellent service. As with the commentary on the tour, it is good to hear that customers like the interesting facts as our main goal is to have the tours fun for everybody. Thanks again and hope to see you both again in Iceland! Best regards Linda

I met Stefan, who owns the company, and he helped me organize parts of my week long stay in Iceland. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Reykjavik and surrounding areas. He truly cares about his guests and takes their specific interests to heart as he tells stories and shares unique information.

We have taken many, many Segway tours in Europe, US and the Caribbean. This is one of the best ever. For starters the equipment is top notch, the helmets have built in speakers so that you are protected, warm and still can hear every bit of the commentary from Linda. Linda is the owner/operator and tour guide. She led us around Reykjavik for nearly two hours, showing us sights we would never get to on our own. And because most of the tour is on the city's bike paths, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy all that the machine can do in comfort and safety. We arrived on a cruise ship and Linda graciously offered to pick us up at the pier and return us to the ship. Thanks Linda for a wonderful memory of Iceland.

The place by the old harbour such a wonderful place for cycling & segway tour of the city. The owner and the young 15 boy working during vacation were helpful & friendly.
The 5 minutes training to get to use the segway by the owner was insightful with careful safety tips. The guide Kebil took us round on a two ride to some interesting places.
The house by the sea where American President Ronald Reagan & Russian President Gorbachev met in 1986 is believed to haunted.
Within 15 minutes using the segway vbecomes second nature. The views at the height from the segway is another advantage. Perfect way to sightseeing.

Thank you for this great review! Yes, we‘re down by Reykjavik‘s old harbour and I‘m happy you found us helpful and friendly :-)  We agree that sightseeing by Segway is great. In my opinion it combines the experience and achievement of mastering the machine as well as travelling fast and with ease around town. Travel safely, Stefan

We, my friend and I, enjoyed our tour immensely. Linda did a fantastic job. She took care of the whole event, picked us up, was very flexible with the time due to the changing weather and arranged the tour exceptionally well! We can highly recommend this experience both with Linda, her company and the beautiful surrounding

Linda bubbles with enthusiasm and is the perfect guide for this alternative tour of the parts of Reykjavic you wouldn't be able to see in foot! Fantastic fun. Would love to go again if we ever make it back here. Such a personal touch goes a long way to contributing to a memorable holiday. Thanks Linda

A great way to see a lot of Reykjavik in just 2 hours, and enormous fun. The crew at Sway, led by Linda, know a lot about the town. Safety was always at the top of their minds. Very well run operation. They picked me up and dropped me off. The 12km long tour ended with a cup of hot chocolate at their offices. And when I got back, they had emailed me pictures of my trip. A must-do when in Reykjavik.

Our guide, George was amazing and showed us parties of Reykjavik that we would never have experienced on our own.

We felt safe at all time and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommending this tour for both novices and experienced Segway riders.
