Excellent ~9 mile Segway tour around the city including the old city, harbor front, government buildings, parks, and a variety of other sites. My guide, George, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and employed a good sense of humor on the tour. Tour included Segway training and safety gear. Only downside was I got used to Apple Pay being taken almost everywhere but this tour used an email link for payment (Visa/MC only). The payment link took a couple tries and took a while to process for me.

Thank you for the kind review Aaron. I appreciate the five stars. I'm sorry you had trouble paying using the secure link I sent you evening before next mornings private tour. I'm happy it worked out all right after a couple of tries. We're constantly thinking of ways to improve our service. We're currently able to accept payment in 5 different ways for our service. In my opinion the link system being the most efficient we've used so far. I'm going to make some phone calls to find out what is involved when using Apple Pay.

Stefan was amazing from reservation to end of tour. He answered so many questions about us arriving at the port and he allowed us to add two folks to the tour the day before we were to go. And then the history and information on Reykjavik was interesting, historical, and humorous throughout the tour. Being a native of Iceland afforded Stefan inside perspective like no other. Highly recommend this tour. We were on a cruise and it was an easy transport to and from. Thanks to Stefan for making our Reykjavik Tour so memorable!

A great way to explore the City. Stefan, who runs the tours, was friendly, informative and he kept in constant contact with us prior to the tour, as we were not sure what the weather was going to be like on the day. Highly recommended

Thank you kindly for the review :-) In spring, winter and fall one never knows what kind of weather and road conditions to expect. Therefore, it is important to keep a close eye on it for a safe and enjoyable ride. We can every month of the year but not every day in winter due to strong wind or ice on the roads.

We did a tour with George, who was great. My wife didn't want to stand for 2.5 hours, so she got an ebike. The other three of us were on Segways. (The company was very flexible about mixing modes of transport.) The orientation was a bit long compared to a previous Segway tour, but they were being careful to make sure we could ride them safely. We zipped around the city in a line, like ducklings following the momma duck, visiting all the highlights and getting a humorous narration from George, who also took the time to take nice group photos. A bit expensive, but highly recommended.

Thank you for the kind words for and five* review for George and Reykjavik Segway Tours! We so agree with you that the best way to see Reykjavik is from the Segway platform. I appreciate you saying that. We take safety seriously without being fanatic about it. We want to make sure before we start a tour that everyone knows how to control the Segway properly for their own safety and the safety of others. Reason why tours in general are more expensive in Iceland than many other countries is due to the high local cost and taxes. A new Segway in the US costs US$ 6000 but nearly 12000 in Iceland. Relative to what other things in Iceland cost our tours are priced very modestly. Our guides are competent adults who get paid a salary which at least matches the legal minimum salary in Iceland. I've noticed that in some cities where I've done a Segway tour they've used recent immigrants, volunteers and students who get paid considerably less.

We did the Segway tour 2 days ago. Stefan took us out for 2 hours ( we were 4 adults). He spent time training us on how to ride, turn, and stop and made sure we were comfortable before heading out. While we got to see all the tourist attractions, Stefan showed us sites we would have missed on our own. He shared lots of great information having grown up in Iceland and answered all of our questions (and we had lots). A terrific way to see all of the city and lots of fun! Highly recommend!!
