We'd never been on an ATV before, let alone this far off road, but Sir Kaktuz and the team were (almost) as amazing as this stunning experience.
Visiting Iceland ? Do this.! Sooo much better than broiling yourself in a pool of blue soup.
Mind-blowing scenery, challenging surfaces, legendary guides, all the kit.
Go Safari Quad.

Great experience

Great experience and so glad we did this. We went on rounds, hills, mountains and visited two high points with incredible views.
We were provided with warm suits, helmets, gloves etc. the bikes also had hand warmers!
The guides were great and very helpful and ensured everyone’s safety and comfort at all times. Would definitely recommend for a fun morning out!

Add ATVing to your itinerary

ATVing in Iceland? Yes please! 2 hours of roads, hills, trails and mountain tops with amazing views. Did you know ATV’s have hand warmers? Well they do! Your body will stay warm with all the gear Safari Quads provides. The guides were fun and patient with ATV teaching and made sure the ATV operators were comfortable. I’m so happy we did this excursion. Well worth it!
PS: Icelandic hot dog 7/10. At least try it once.

Awesome ATV tour

Great tour and lots of fun. Easy to ride and small groups made for a nice adventure. The equipment was in good shape and the clothing provided kept us warm. Pick up and drop off at our hotel were very helpful.

Twin Peaks ATV Tour

4 of us took the Twin Peaks 2 hr tour. Pick up and drop off were timely. Lewis was great - personable and friendly. Equipment for the ride worked great, especially the coveralls, gloves for this very chilly ride. From the mountaintops to the frozen lake the trails were awesome, even for those not overly familiar with riding ATVs. Beautiful views and great fun! We 4 highly recommend Safari Tours!!

Fantastical

Absolutely phenomenal! Insanely fun experience. I really enjoyed the trails. Lots of beautiful areas with great atmosphere. And that was just the quad experience! If it hadn’t been for our delightful tour guide sir kaktuz with his savvy but charming demeanor our day would have been great. But, because of him it was amazeballs! Thank you sir Kaktuz, thank you so much.

A wonderful and fun atv ride

I had a wonderful time! I went with my sister and her fiancé on the one hour long atv ride and we saw the most beautiful views. I hadn’t been on an atv before but Sir Cactus was amazing at guiding the group and making sure everyone was comfortable. He was also funny and made the ride super enjoyable. I will definitely be back soon for a longer ride!

Amazing Tour with the Best Guide!

It was an amazing tour! Our guide, Sir Kaktuz was funny, personable, and enthusiastic! He gave great instructions so we were very comfortable when we took off on the ATVs. He gave us time when we reached the peak of our journey to take pictures and bask in the beautiful surroundings. He often slowed down to check that everyone was keeping up and that everything was going okay, so I always felt safe. He was also just a fun person to be around and made the whole experience unforgettable! Definitely my favorite excursion in Iceland - I highly recommend!!!

What is the entire duration of this tour if we book the 1 hr quad tour? Trying to determine if I will make it back to my hotel in time to make my flight.

Depends where you’re staying. I was staying in hotel borgg in Reykjavik center. We left the hotel at 1.30 for 2pm pick up from the bsi terminal. We then arrived at the quad biking site at 3.30 and then arrived at the blue lagoon for 5pm. So in total with bus transfers 3.5 hours. If you rent a car or get a cab it will be considerably quicker. Hope I helped.

HI, We do not offer Transport from the Airport but there is the flight bus that leaves every 40 min after each arrival flight, its very easy to take and not expensive. we could pick you up from some place in Downtown reykjavik where the bus drops you off, and we can take you there again after the tour and you can jump on the flight bus again :) its about a 45 min drive to the airport from the city

If you pay for two squads, you have two. Of you pay for one, you go on the same one but you can switch and both drive.

I am a single traveller and would be happy to share a quad but am travelling on my own, so do have to book a single quad or will a book a double and be allocated someone to ride with?

Hello, we are a family of four with two kids ages 8 and 11. We are coming to Iceland this summer. I have two questions: 1. If we rent and ATV, will the boys sit behind us or in front? (Sorry, I have not driven ATV before). 2. If we rent buggy tour, do you recommend safari or mountains tour? Based on description, mountain buggy tour seems too advanced/scary? Hi Oksana, Thank you for contacting Safari quads. Do operate the ATV & Buggies, you must have a valid driver license to drive. If you decide to go on an ATV tour the boys would sit behind the driver. However, If you pick Buggy the boys will sit next to you ;) I would always suggest the 2 hr tour either on an ATV or Buggy. the 2 hr tour isour most popular tour :) & i am sure the boys would love it. best regards,

Are the quads suitable for for elderly people? One of our party is 72 and has had a hip replacement but is keen to go quad biking. just wondered how rough it might be. is it better to double him up on a 2 seater? thanks
