I can't think of a nicer way to while away your morning, if you have the time. My family intended to pop in just to have brunch at the cafe. Unfortunately, the cafe had closed for the "winter season" (although it was only mid-September and...More

I visited this place to experience the Thermal phenomena. I would imagine that this is a lovely place to visit in the Summer but the blanket of snow, everywhere, gave it a lovely scene. Although the original use for this spa is now closed there...More

We stopped here on our long walk from the city back to our cruise ship berthed at the port. Probably not conveniently placed for most tourists. The gardens are well kept and have an impressive array of plants. There is a cafe and toilets.

The people who run this place should be proud. This is a truly exceptional botanical garden and a great place to explore. It is also completely free. I wouldn't travel far out of my way just for it, but it is a few minute's pleasant...More

This will probably not be on your bucket list when visiting Reykjavik. Not on mine neither, but I stayed in a hotel near by and I decided to have a look. And it was a pleasant surprise. The garden is really lovely with an arboretum,...More

We stopped by briefly to have a peek at the Botanical Gardens. They are not amazing but given the weather conditions here they are surprisingly good. Not so surprising are the many rock structures.

This botanical garden is very pretty but is not located close to anything else and takes a while to Get to. Not worth it in my opinion, but if you do happen to be close by, go see it. Nice café Floran is located inside.

This is on the hop on hop off bus route and takes a bit of finding. The wild meadow on the outside make it look uncared for until you find the main entrance. It is a real gem and we saw sparrows and chaffinches here...More

Find your way to the botanical gardens for an hour or two. Be amazed at the variety of plants growing here. It must be to do with the long daylight hours, because it is quite cool. Stop for tea or a light meal at Cafe...More

It may not be the biggest garden, neither due to the climate can it contain so many species, but it's a very pleasant space to take a stroll around with with a variety of rock based areas and shrubs and an entirely charming cafe, with...More
