We offer a personal experience for the Golden circle and the Southern shore tours in a 16 person van so you do not have to wait for 50 people on a big bus, and offer much more flexibility depending on weather and crowds, not to mention spur of moment stops (petting the friendliest horses you've ever met!) and personal attention to all questions or other issues. Our goal is to make your visit to Iceland a personal experience to remember.

Tried Gray Lines and Reykjavik excursions and they are huge operations and you are herded in large groups and buses. Eco Iceland uses small Mercedes vans (8-12 people maximum), our tour was with Thor and it was the best, most laid back tour with frequent stops for picture taking. I highly recommend them.

I went on a tour with Eco travel in January of this year and had such a great experience. I usually hate tours but was so pleasantly surprised with this tour. Our tour guide was well informed, witty and conscensious, he went out of his way to accommodate everyone, even making a pitstop at a petrol station so another lady... More

My first time visiting Iceland I expected beautiful as well as estranged landscapes. Going on the Golden Circle tour was a great start to meet these expectations. Besides stunning and breathtaking waterfalls, volcano crater, geysir, overviewing Pingvellir National Park, the tour also included sights not even described in the brochure - a very nice surprise. Listening to the rumble of... More

I have been to Iceland a couple of times before, and have taken some tours. This one was by far my favorite. The sites were breath-taking, the tour group was small, and the guide was friendly and fun.

This southern tour was packed with waterfalls, knowledge, and fun. Our driver, Jon, was very flexible and asked the group if they wanted to do certain extras that were not even included in the description. Since none of us in the van had petted the famous Icelandic horses yet, Jon pulled over and we all got to spend some quality... More

Our friends recommended we booked the Eco travel tour with Jon Hilmar and we were so very pleased we did. Jon was a great host, very passionate about his country and very knowledgeable about the geology of Iceland which we enjoyed hearing about. Jon, like all other Icelanders it seems really wants you to have a good time in his... More

I first stumbled across Eco Travel Iceland (formally Husky Travel) by accident. I'd never researched Icelandic travel companies and I hate large tours so I asked my hotel concierge for advice. They picked up the Eco Travel leaflet and gave John a ring. We went out that night in search of the Northern Lights and found them... along with all... More
