This church is off the beaten path and absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I admired the architecture inside and out. It was one of our favorite churches in Iceland.

This church is not very far from the city center. Is very beautiful and is surrounded by nice gardens and a graveyard. Must visit.

Up on embassy row across from the hospital the cathedral is on a large block of property. Not the largest cathedral it is very inviting inside. More elaborate than the other two cathedrals in town. It has an active community and an adjacent school.

Definitely worth visiting, especially for Catholics. Very strong impression at top of hill, 10 minute walk from downtown Reykjavik. Quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful inside. Almost as impressive as Hallgrimskirkja.
