I had been travelling with my husband in search of the northern lights for a week and on 1st January 2014 they just showed up near the lighthouse of Seltjarnarnes... (outskirts of Reykjavik) however my camera had run out of battery just when I tried to use it. It was an spectacular show and I felt so sorry we would never be able to keep a graphic memory of it. Joaquin , from Boreal travel, was working nearby with a group of people and when I saw him with a tripod and all the professional equipment I asked if he wouldn't mind take a quick picture and send it to me, and I offered to pay of course. Joaquin did a free professional photoshoot from so many different angles of my husband and I with the lighthouse and the gorgeous aurora borealis above us. He took several photographs, edited them ( because due to extreme winds everything was moving, even the cars!) and emailed them to me free of charge on the same night. That is a excellent service and I am sure that goes hand in hand with true success! beyond expectations. Eva and Tim B.

I booked that one-day tour for my mother (she is 70 years old) and me because we wanted to see some parts auf the icelandic highlands. It is not the cheapest trip but worth every cent. We were picked up directly from our hotel in Reykjavik by our driver/guide and spent an fantastic day in the south-west highlands of Landmannalaugar. We saw waterfalls, black and white lava fields, red lava at the crater Ljótipollur and the coloured mountains of the landmannalaugar (which was very special for us). Our guide/driver was very experienced, he showed us some special places and told interesting stories about the landscape. The trip within the jeep was marvellous, we drove mountain roads up and down and through streams. My mother was very pleased as well. I can recommed that trip to everyone who doesn´t want to do a mainstream trip. Also the jeep is very comfortable, I suggest to wear walking boots and outdoor clothes for the walk along the Landmannalaugur.

If you are looking for a tourist bus trip with a big group where every minute is planned, out then Boreal Travel!! This company offers day trips and short breaks in small groups and Joaquin (one of the guides and Boreal Travel CEO) treats you like new friends, not customers, and takes you to places no one else dares go. I had a 2-days tour to the South, Golden Circle and Snaefelsness and was amazing!!

Arrived for a few days and to see the northern Lights. Joaquin met us and showed us the town. Went on a long drive to see icebergs at Jokulsarlon. Had a good time and would reccomend the service.
