The Harpa as they call is a beautiful building overlooking the water. The glass structure is beautiful stained glass windows. There is a movie in the basement that shows the different parts of Iceland aka east and north. We didn't go see a show which...More

We walked from the boat docks toward the opera house. Pleasant walk, looking at all the large fishing vessels on dry dock , a cruise ship pulled into the harbor when we were there.

Loved walking around this magnificent building in the daytime - gorgeous views, chess match in play, and landscape art on the walls.

Pretty cool building. I liked that you could walk inside and have a look around and take pictures. It probably will not be the most stunning piece of architecture you have ever seen but it will be a really lovely addition to any self-guided city...More

This a building does not look like much from the outside but once you enter it is awesome. Glass everywhere and access to the top floor where the views over the city and harbour are tremendous. Do not leave Reykjavik without visiting this place.

This is an interesting piece of architecture with colorful inside and outside views of the window walls but its just a large open building that visitors and workers wander about aimlessly in vast spaces. Tours are offered on a limited basis at best and there...More

Did not get to see a performance, but thoroughly enjoyed exploring the interior and exterior of this beautiful building. Great cafe and gift shop (selling nice Icelandic gifts-not touristy junk) inside. Incredible views of the harbor from the rear deck/balcony. Free admission to explore and...More
