This is a relatively modern cathedral having only been founded in the 18th century when a series of natural disasters moved the political and religious centres to Reykjavik. It is much larger than it appears on the outside and is attractive inside.

Very pretty Christian "cathedral". I found it considerably smaller than most cathedrals. Maybe the word Dom in Icelandic dosent mean cathedral. I associated it with the German word. Beautiful interior.

We took a walk around the Old Town of Reykjavik and found this beautiful stone Cathedral. It is Lutheran and was built 1788 to 1796. The inside was small but very beautiful.

Originally built in the 1790's and expanded in the 1840’s, this small but very well maintained Cathedral is adjacent to the parliament building and is well worth a quick visit. Its centrepiece is a 19th century lovely baptismal font directly in front of the main...More

Reykjavik's premier architect designed this cathedral modeled after typical geological formations found on the coastal cliffs. The pipe organ is World Class and worth attending the free concerts.

We visit a lot of churches around the world and this one is not overly ornate, has a great location, and is peaceful.

We walked into the Church to view the beautiful interior. It’s not much to look at on the exterior but nice on the inside. Right on the edge of old town.

A very small church near the Parliament building. Mo tall tower unlike Hallgrimskirkja or the catholic cathedral. Whitewashed walls outside. Inside a beautiful old church with a lovely pulpit.
