Shocking customer service! Requested a refund early March and still waiting for a refund of over 1500 euros. Have emailed a handful of times and no reply???? Was told it would take 8 weeks when I cancelled it's been months!!! At least have the decency to email me with an update and reply?! When I do come back to Iceland I will not be using this company. Very disappointed!!!

We booked the snowmobile and ice cave tour. Ice cave was neat, but not a must. Breaks up the snow mobile ride though, as that can be taxing physically. It is listed as easy, but if you want to keep up with the guide, it is a bit strenuous. Definitely a thrilling experience from the Super Jeep onto the glacier, to the snowmobiling itself. Also, most of the tour companies seems to be one in the same. We booked a south coast tour with Glacier Guides but were picked up my Arctic Adventure. However they are very clear about who they are picking up so it wasn’t confusing at all. Guides were awesome! Sebastian at the snowmobile and Maria on the glacier hike.

+1
We did the South coast tour which took us to a few waterfalls, the black sand beach and the glacier. It’s hard to know which compGreat mix of activity, especially considering its about a 2.5hr trip from Reykjavík. Our driver was very friendly and accommodating, it was small bus tour. Our glacier guide Maria was awesome, full of energy and according to our server at the restaurant, a celebrity in Greece! The waterfalls were very slippery to walk up to, would recommend bringing your own crampons off you want a full experience . Also, make sure your boots will support crampons, ours were too large and we had to rent.

We did the 4 hour 'Into the Glacier' tour which was amazing. We were really lucky and only ended up with 4 people on our tour (as a large group didn't arrive on time). Our guide was amazing and answered all of our questions about the glaciers and Iceland. We spent about 90 minutes hiking on the glacier with crampons, which was a lot of fun. We were worried the rain might spoil the experience, but had a great time despite the weather. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing - good hiking boots with ankle support, waterproof coat/pants, gloves and beanie (these are available for hire if you need). The hike is not very difficult, but you need some level of fitness/coordination. It was a great introduction to glacier hiking, we would choose to do a more difficult tour the next time.

We always wanted to hike a glacier and we had a great experience with Mathew of Artic Adventure. We signed up for the 3.5 hour tour. It last more like 4. We had about 1.5 hours on the glacier but some of that was gearing up with the crampons...took too long in my opinion. We enjoyed Mathew and his insights and his safety concerns. This adventure requires a person to be in fairly decent shape. We had read it was easy to moderate. I would say it is mostly moderate or a bit more. There are some some steep, tricky climbs on the trail up to the glacier. You also have to walk about 20 minutes from the bus drop off to reach the glacier. The glacier is receeding so it will take longer and longer as the years go. Maybe there will be another ice age soon?
