We really enjoyed our evening tour with Viking Horses. Our guides were very friendly. The horses were friendly and well maintained. You could really tell how much they cared about them. It was an added special treat to spend time in their home enjoying conversation and traditional foods as well as little Bella the dog!

We rode with Viking Horses or a twilight ride in late August. Like other reviewers' our experience was a very positive. We could not have asked for anything more -- we thoroughly enjoyed it! The horses were selected to match the riders' abilities. They were in great condition, obviously well-taken care of. Helmets, jackets, and even boots are available. We... More

This was the highlight of our trip for all family members! We had a wonderful ride through lava fields after spending some time in the corral learning our horses. Warm gear, gloves and helmets were provided for all. The horses are very friendly, responsive and clearly well cared for. When my young daughter was uncomfortable managing the horse alone, the... We visited Viking Horses on our trip to Iceland and it was a great experience. My kids, 13 and 9 who had never ridden before, both had a great time. The horses were extremely calm and well behaved. The setting for the ride was beautiful and peaceful and the lunch afterwards was a nice way to wind down. We got... More

I just got back from taking an evening horse back riding tour with Viking horses! Everything about the experience was perfect, they picked me up from my hostel with no problem and arrived right on time. Once I got there they matched me with the perfect horse. They have all the clothes and gear you will need for the trip,... More

We are just completing a 21 day cruise. The highlight of the many land experiences we have had, has to be Viking Horses. Having grown up with horses, I was completely disarmed with the demeanor and disposition of the Icelandic horses. The tolt gait is so soft an yet exciting as the horse moves from a walk into the tolt... More

Wonderful wonderful. Very gentle well trained horses. The horses are actually sweet. Loved the ride and all the tutorial before the ride. ---a great experience. It was nice to see the horses so well treated. Our ride split in two so riders who wanted to try the different gates could and those who wanted to walk could do that also.

We got recommended this place off a friend and we were not disappointed one bit. From the first email, the lady who runs this outfit was so helpful which was very reassuring and despite the fact she was not English it was hassle free and very pleasant to communicate with her over emails. On the day of the ride, we... More

My boyfriend and I are inexperienced riders, but I had the idea in my head that we just had to do this tour and make friends with the beautiful icelandic horses! Before we saddled up, we were given waterproof pants and jacket, which we really appreciated..and everyone in the group was fitted properly with helmets. Once we got to the... More

We went on this tour during a stop on our cruise, the Disney Magic. Due to age limit and timing, we were not able to book this tour on our ship. So, I booked it privately several weeks before our cruise. Verena and I corresponded regularly through email and she made every thing so simple and easy. We had an... More
