What a great experience! We are so glad we chose Viking horses. Our two guides were great and super helpful. They choose a horse based on your riding experience, if you have any or none. The horses are extremely well trained. First you get on the horse and get used to being on the horse and how to control it... More

I went with a friend this morning to Viking Horses and I'm glad I did! We were picked up from our accommodations by a lovey lady who served us lunch when we were done. My prior horse riding experience before today was nil and it was not at all an issue. I rode Klaki, a 12-13 year old and very... More

Iceland is currently overrun by tourists, so you need to go out of your way a bit to experience this wonderful country. We have never ridden before so wanted to talk to someone in person about what to expect. We initially went to the mob that's listed at the top of the TripAdvisor list of horse riding experiences around Reykjavik,... More

I loved my Viking Horses experience so much last year that I decided to do it again this year! The small group size is fantastic because the ride is customized to your group's experience level. When we passed another tour group of 15 or more, my friend and I were thankful to be in a small group that allowed us... More

If you want to enjoy an unbelievable horse experience without a crowd of people, check out Viking Horses. We were picked up at our hotel and welcomed at the impeccable stables just outside Reykjavik. The girls could not have been nicer. They set us up with the proper gear and instruction and introduced us to the sweetest horses you've ever... More

It was absolutely an amazing experience with Viking horse! Even though I had zero experience with horse riding before, our guide, Maja, was definitely an sweetheart. She was fully patient and cheerful! We had a basic horse teaching session and easy ride all the way to see Lava. Me and my friend really enjoyed it. After the riding, we had... More

My boyfriend organised a surprise horse riding session during our visit to Iceland. This is a small family owned stable and the facilities were modern and tidy, the horses well looked after and all the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. And of course we had a wonderful time! Highly recommended!

Went with my daughter (age 11) and we both loved our riding tour. Excellent horses and instruction - and well worth being in a small group. Would recommend for experienced and beginners alike - catered very well for both. Loved the tolt! Thank you for a really memorable ride- we'll be back ...

Viking Horses exceeded my expectations. What a wonderful experience. As a competitive rider in the US, I found my horse to be well trained, responsive, and had an absolute great time learning the tolt and exploring the Icelandic countryside. The staff was wonderful, the horses very well taken care of and the facilities were clean, nice, and right on the... More

We are two experienced riders that rode on an evening tour with Viking Horses. The horses Klaki and Mussa, were kind, friendly, well trained mounts that were obviously well taken care of and liked their jobs. The staff were friendly and took us upstairs for a delicious Icelandic meal and were good company. I would highly recommend Viking Horses!
