Our Viking Horse ride was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. Verena and Kristine were charming, patient, calm and kind and made sure that everyone in the riding group was comfortable and having a good time. We were lucky enough to have a snowy morning for our ride, followed by coffee, friendly conversation, a light lunch and a visit... More

I was fortunate to have a solo morning ride with Kristine on Valentine's Day. The whole experience was so great, I am still on a high! This is a much more personalized riding tour than most places, with a chance to be properly introduced to your horse, and get some tips on riding before heading out. The tour itself is... More

This outing was one of the highlights of our trip! The guides were patient and informative, the horses were perfectly suited to their task, and the trails were breathtaking! We're all novice riders, but by the end of the outing we were all cantering down trails and through streams. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!

I researched numerous different horseback riding excursions before my trip to Iceland, and Viking Horses consistently had the best reviews. Now that I've done the excursion, I can see why. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. My mother and I were picked up on time in front of our Airbnb location in Reykjavik and driven to the stables. We... More

We used Viking Tours again and had an absolutely fabulous time. We celebrated my friend's birthday and Verena of Viking Horses was so accommodating and friendly. The horses are well taken care of, they are so well behaved, the instruction before riding is very well done, during the ride we are given pointers and always were always asked if we... More

Highlight of our trip so far! We hit a travel hiccup and they happily rescheduled us. We ended up on a private ride with Kristen who was knowledgable and friendly. This was Rick's first time on a horse and "Blazey" treated him well. All the horses were gentle and appear to be well taken care of and loved. Afterwards we... More

Could not be happier with my experience with Viking Horses. I'm more of a horse enthusiast than a true equestrian, but this was my absolute favorite thing I did in Iceland. Riding Mósa was my first experience riding a horse since I was a little girl, but she was such a sweet (and absolutely adorable - her ears are so... More

My friends and I had a great time riding the horses and spending time with guides. The guides were incredibly kind, patient, and hospitable. It was a fun experience, and despite the rain, we got to see a bit of the country side. We also greatly appreciated the prompt pick up and drop off system they have in place. Thanks... More

Helpful staff offering all round services from pick up, gear and guide. The ride was fun and the view is AWESOME. The snowy forest just took my heart and soul. The lunch offered after the ride is also nice. It gives a warm family feeling with the running dog :) Only problem is can't take photos when riding, it's really... More

Thank you so much for your review and for choosing Viking Horses :) That´s true, during the ride you need both hands on the reins ;) Therefore we take photos on the trail for you. If you did not receive any photos yet please let us know and we will send them right away. Best wishes!! Verena More
