The staff is extremely knowledgable and in such small groups you get to know them very well which is wonderful because they are wonderful! The horses have personality and you will be actually riding them not feel like you are on a track following along. If you have a wearable camera such as a gopro this would be the time... More

I just got back from 3 days in Iceland and the highlight for me was my ride with Viking Horses! I am a nervous rider but Verena and her team made me very welcome and put me at ease straight away. I had a beautiful, friendly pony and he was the most comfortable and safe fella I have ridden in... More

Great horses, wonderful people , nothing could have been better. We were picked up by lovely Verena and driven to the farm where we were met by Iris and Christina who couldn't have been nicer or treated us better. My sister and I both ride so we got to experience the Trote and canter. It was a wonderful afternoon.

I loved this tour. The ride was easy, the guide team was wonderful, and a social time after our ride was very special. This is a small company, only a few years old, and they enjoy small groups. The rides are a personal sweet touch with picture time, a bit faster if preferred, but not forced. The trail is through... More

Lovely horses and owners. Took the afternoon ride and was thankful for the gear provided to keep us warm and dry. Kristina was our friendly and knowledgable guide, taking care with my husband who has barely ridden a horse! So fun to ride a tolt- unique to these beautiful, affectionate horses. Highly recommend Viking Horses. Scenery was great, hospitality warm... More

My father (age 70), husband (age 46) and son (age 9) went on a three-generation “guys” Icelandic adventure that included horseback riding with Viking Horses. None of them had any experience with horses and the Viking team were expert guides--- matching each rider with the perfect horse and giving everybody ample time to practice and feel comfortable before hitting the... Picked up from city hotel by lovely Verena of Viking Horses, suitable clothing for riding loaned to us (helmets carefully fitted, jackets and gloves) and then the introduction to the amazing horses. Verena sized us up as humans ( a small group of 5) and then with much thought and careful consideration she matched us perfectly with the right Icelandic... More

Viking Horses was one of the highlights of our trip! The horses were very friendly and well trained. Our guides were fantastic - very knowledgable about the horses and landscape we were riding through. They did a great job teaching us the basics of riding to make sure we were all comfortable on the horses. You really don't need any... More

This was a great experience from beginning to end. It's not that far out of the city and personalized pick up and drop off! We were all beginners and they spent a lot of time making sure we were comfortable. It was a great ride and lovely to be invited up afterwards for coffee/tea, food and their dog, Bella just... More
