Just got back from a great ride! Small group with a range of experience (and ages) from green to seasoned and everyone seemed to have a good time. The weather was wild, which for me just added to the excitement. Our guide took good care of us all and was also funny and entertaining. We enjoyed refreshments and good conversation at the end. Very nice ride through a very nice landscape. The guides were very nice, the group was small (7 guests, 2 guides). It was very enjoyable.

The visit was great. I learned to do the Tolt which was amazing. Lovely horses and fantastic guides. I enjoyed every minute!

The guides were helpful and competent with those of us unfamiliar with horses. Information about the areas we were moving through was interesting. Ended the evening with hot chocolate and fantastic Icelandic donuts!

If you are on the fence about booking with Viking Horses, stop debating and book—you won't regret it! From the moment we were picked up for our small group ride to the time we were dropped back at our hotel, we had an incredible experience. Our guide, Julia, was funny, knowledgeable, and welcoming. She spent time with each person in our group to match us with the best horse for our varied riding levels, explained the difference in Icelandic riding styles compared to other styles, and then took us on an unforgettable horseback ride through a lava field. The landscape was mesmerizing and each turn looked like something out of a movie. Once the ride was over, we enjoyed coffee/tea, cookies, and conversation with other members of our group and were able to learn more about each other, ask questions about the horses and Iceland, and relax. Our only regret is not booking a longer excursion! We were thrilled to have booked with Viking Horses and cannot recommend them enough.…
