We spent 40 mins on the snowmobile, not an hour. The ride is fully guided, there is no time or area for you to go alone. There were 30 people on the tour when we went which slowed down the group. The organisation was poor, our time got changed twice and the meeting point was a

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that the tour didn't live up to your expectations. Conditions on the glacier in August are very different than in the winter. A track is laid in the ice and for safety reasons, the tour is operated a little slower than in the winter. The tour is a little slower but the scenery is all the more spectacular as you're able to view the ice in the glacier all around. During the pandemic, we've been forced to adjust time schedules and we've requested some departures to meet us at our basecamp, in Geldingafell. According to the Icelandic Road Authority the road up to our basecamp is not an F-road. We do our best to make arrangements if something in the car rental agreement forbids driving on gravel roads.

Dear Stefan Thank you for your comment, during the winter when the glacier is covered in snow we offer more variety of tours that might fit you better. These are strange times that we are dealing with and we put safety first and foremost during this time, and the conditions each day determine how we are able to travel on the glacier. Best regards Mountaineers

We went (two families with teenagers / young adults) on a snowmobile trip to Langjokull with Mountaineers. Our guide, Snæbjörn, was excellent. He sent carefully trough all the safety issues and then kept a good eye on all the group during the trip and assisted those less

We drove ourselves to the Base Camp 35 mins north from Gullfoss. Weather was fantastic with blue sky. We drove around on the snow mobile for an hour an also visited an ice cave. Absolutely breathtaking views and good fun to drive the mobiles.
