Overall a fantastic experience if you’re after a tour at multiple stops and a bit of snowmobiling. If you’re after either then personally I would book separately. The snowmobiling was a little disappointing. We went out with about 30 other snowmobiles, all in a single file going no faster then 25kph (due to other riders not being confident or even crashing their snowmobile). If you’re looking for snowmobiling book separately as I’m sure a longer experience in a smaller group would have been fantastic. As for the tour, it was superb. Our guide was very informative and friendly, the Super Jeeps is an absolute animal of a vehicle, that was an experience in itself! The stops at the Waterfall, Hot Springs and Tectonic Plates were breathtaking.

Great trip today - the jeep was new and very warm which was appreciated in this cold weather!

Approx 15 people in the group which was a good number. Guide was friendly and informative. Plenty of comfort breaks and opportunities to get drinks or food. Snowmobiling was very cold but we were given good warm suits and gloves - an experience to remember! A great way to see the wonderful sights of Iceland - thank you.

This is really good fun …. The guides are very informative and know their stuff. The clothes they provide and more than adequate for the conditions, we were toasty warm the whole time. Unfortunately for us the weather was foggy and snowy so we didn’t get to see the beautiful landscape and views, but nonetheless, we still had a great time!!

Couldn’t recommend this excursion enough! Some of the reviews made me very skeptical, but the experience was amazing from start to finish. Be prepared to not feel your fingers or toes but for the views it’s absolutely worth it !! Guides are super friendly as well.

Great day, we didn't have the best weather but still was enjoyable. Our tour guide was very good but did struggle to understand his accent. Could have done with a bit longer at the waterfalls and the shop was very good there.

Fantastic experience and very well organised. The visibility was almost zero so we were worried it would get cancelled but it went ahead and although it was a bit scary the organisers were really good at modifying the route to keep us all safe.

Let me start by saying the Golden circle was beautiful and amazing. We loved our driver and would love to go with him around the golden circle again. I would have given that a 5 star. However, the snowmobiling was NOT worth it. Can I give it 0/5 stars? Unless you sign up for a private snowmobiling trip do not waste your time - unless you are one of the idiots that have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Then this snowmobiling trip might be your level. I was in a tiny bus and thought it would just be our bus to go snowmobiling. I was wrong, we had several busses on our snow trip and there were about 30 snowmobiles in a single file line. We went about 5 mph the entire time and even had to stop a few times for people who could not keep up, or flipped their vehicle (I have no idea how?) . . . Take my word for it and if you have any experience at all with outdoor vehicles, or even common sense, I would only do a private snowmobiling experience.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your Golden Circle tour and that you had a great experience with your driver. However, we are sorry to hear that the snowmobiling experience did not meet your expectations. We understand that it can be frustrating to be part of a large group and not have the opportunity to enjoy the snowmobiling experience to its fullest potential. Our group tours are designed to cater to a wide range of customers, including those who may be new to snowmobiling or may not have previous experience with outdoor vehicles. Safety is our top priority, and we take all necessary precautions to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. We understand that a private snowmobiling experience may be better suited for customers with more experience or those who prefer a more personalized tour. We do offer private tours upon request, and we would be happy to discuss this option with you further. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope that you will consider giving us another opportunity to show you the high-quality services that we are known for at Mountaineers of Iceland.

Overall this was a great experience, with the highlight being the views near and on the glacier - majestic and magical! Our driver was good, he informed us of what we would be doing well, could be improved by sharing knowledge during at least part of the drive. The snowmobile location was stunning, and the process of getting ready was efficient and the clothes/helmets were just what was needed. The only reason we didn’t rate this as a 5 is our snowmobile guide went soooo fast. At the beginning, he said we’d keep speed around 30 km, but this happened rarely, most often we were at 55 - 70 km. Which meant it was less possible to look around and enjoy the view, needing to stay absolutely focused on driving. Thankfully, no-one was hurt when one of the snowmobiles turned over due to getting in too deep of snow at 50km. The Secret lagoon was wonderful and loved the smaller size of the group.

Really well organised setup. Massive all-terrain coaches picked us up on time, and navigated the snowy tracks up to the glacier. When we arrived at base camp we were all escorted into the kit room where we were decked out in warm, waterproof overalls and helmets, then shown the snowmobile controls before saddling up on our own steeds.

The snowmobile drive lasted around an hour, with a short stop halfway to take photos, swap drivers, make snow angels or chat to the guides, before heading back to base camp. The drive was at a sensible pace, with guides at the front and back of the pack. It was cold and windy, but so much fun! An experience we'll probably never have again.

We booked the tour online easily.new made our way to the meeting point and boarded the monster truck style bus for the journey up the mountain. The bus was packed and the seats are tiny, especially for my husband who is 6ft 5. So make sure you get there early to get a seat with your loved ones or you’ll probably sit apart as they cram you in! The journey up the mountain was about an hour.

Once there we had quite a wait before our tour as they were running behind. Probably due to the bad weather as the snow was mega heavy. We geared up with the suits and helmets which the staff help with. Then we had to stand outside in the snowmobile hut for a good half hour. Nowhere to sit, so if you have mobility problems you will struggle.

We finally set off about 45-60 minutes after we arrived. It was good fun, but the visibility on our tour was shocking. We could barely see anything as the snow and low cloud were so thick. It was quite scary at some points.

The guides were really nice, especially the Norwegian guide whose name I can’t remember.

All in all it was a good trip. Something to tick off the bucket list. Things to make it better would be a decent waiting area. Maybe hot chocolate on the stop over up the mountain as the ten minutes we stopped for were a bit pointless as there was nothing to see and it was freezing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your snowmobiling tour and found our staff to be helpful and friendly. We're sorry to hear that you found the journey up the mountain to be uncomfortable, especially for your husband. We will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve our services. We understand that the wait time can be frustrating, especially if the weather is bad, and we'll try our best to minimize any delays in the future. We appreciate your suggestion of having a hot chocolate stopover and will definitely consider this for future tours. Thank you for choosing our company for your snowmobiling experience and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
