About

The Svartbysvart shop is a collaboration between multidisciplinary artist/designer Marko Svart and co-owner Momo Hayashi, with the ambition of offering exceptional designs, not found anywhere else. Not only are all their products uniquely handmade by the owners themselves, but they also show a particularly contemporary and progressive take on fashion. The clothing is timeless and completely unisex, with a distinct Scandinavian tone, made with a high attention to quality and ethics. The shop also offers various kinds of jewellery, ranging from Svart’s signature porcelain whale flukes to necklaces and earrings made from fish bones, showing the beauty of natural materials and the immaculate designs of Mother Earth herself.

Marko and Momo are real Idealists and do really exclusive and wonderful art. The new shop is so nice and it is a must to visit it when you are in Reykjavík.
The jewelry is so special and made from things they find in the nature and beach of this beautiful country, so you can be sure it is unique. The clothes are also very individual and from very good quality.
Highly recommend! ☮️
