We booked with Extreme Iceland a tour for Landmannalaugar and we waited for 30 mintues at the pick up location but we were not picked up. While waiting we asked another guide, who was also there with a bus labeled ‚artic adventure‘, severel times if we are at the right place for the tour with extreme iceland and if we are with him. The later he denied. Long story short: In the end we did the tour on our own. When we got back at Extreme Iceland they told us, that this guide we asked was in fact our tourguide, who was according to extreme iceland looking for us (apparently not). Then they told us that we did not read the voucher carefully and that it was our fault. But the fact, that we asked the guide several times and stated our names, were ignored by extreme iceland. To sum up, hope that the guide is willing to take you on the tour or you are just going to pay for something you did not get. And watch out for guides of extreme iceland, arctic adventure, arctic adventure sea or trex as it seems it‘s one huge company!

Do not use this company ever!!!!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID Had booked to go to Iceland on holiday, had to cancel due to coronavirus. The company spin a continuous web of lies, firstly they said thanks for the cancellation your refund is being processed, chased after 1 month advised its taking a little longer( understandable in circumstance) Chased after 2 months, same answer, chased after 3,4 and got the same answer. Then in month 5 advised the government in Iceland has told them not to issue any refunds. I wouldn't mind however I booked with 3 other companies in Iceland and they have all provided full refunds, so which government are they listening to? I have had absolutely no proactive communication from this company, they have not reached out once to update or advise on the current situation. You owe people money you can't just ignore them, how hard is it to make a list of all the emails you have trips booked for and send them a bulk email updating them of the current situation. At a guess I would say I will never see my money again, this company has made Easyjet look like customer service champions.

I booked an 8 days trip, then after arriving in iceland I found that they shifted my tour's start date by one day without any notice, so I lost my last day of the 8 days tour since I was planning to leave iceland directly after finishing. Terrible communication, they communicate internally with the tour guide but they didn't communicate with me for multiple days. Then I received a call from the customer support saying that I will receive a voucher as an exchange for the value of the missed day, I said I will not be able to use it or return to iceland to use a 1 day tour, she said ok we need to return to the project manager if there will be a partial refund then they disappeared, no reply for mails or anything. I am astonished to see this in iceland, this is the level of service you get in third world countries ! Stay away they are not a respectful company, they just try to rip people off.

Despite cancelling within the allowable period (for a 90% refund), the company has refused to honor its terms and conditions. First I was told that it could take "up to 30 days", then "in the queue" and "it could take an additional few weeks", and finally now, after 3 months, "the refund process is currently suspended". This company is part of Arctic Adventures, which is the name on my credit card bill. Clearly Covid has impacted this business, and maybe they are simply broke, but in any case one would have to be crazy to trust them with a payment at this point.
