This tour starts fairly early, on the bus by 7am and goes through to late evening, but it is worth every second! Waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, Mordor, suicidal sheep and the best tour guide I've ever experienced , Hjörtur, who was fun, informative and passionate about Iceland and it's history (being an ancestor of Ingólfr Arnarson), he wanted to show as much of Iceland as we could. I can't recommend this tour enough.…

This tour was perfect for me and my friend, who can't drive. We obviously had to wear masks on board the coach but this was little problem. Our guide (David) was friendly and interesting. He gave well-informed (but not too long) talks about the sites and some facts about Iceland. The coach made plenty of stops including, firstly, Hveragerdi- where you could get a coffee. The Kerid crater was not something we'd been intending to see but it made a nice addition to the day's geological itinerary. The path around the crater is slippery so take care! Next, the geysers were great (surprisingly good café also) and beautiful Gullfoss is just a short journey from there. Visiting Thingvellir was my favourite experience from our trip; between geographical interest, historical significance and stunning views, how could it not be a world heritage site? Overall, a tiring but extremely rewarding day. Thank you, Bus Tours Iceland!…

The Corona-virus changed my travel plans to go from DK to Iceland this year in stead of going to the sunny South Europe, and there is no way that I will ever regret this choice - Iceland is simply a wonderful and amazing place on earth. I had the great pleasure of going on two different tours with Bustravel Iceland on August 8 and August 11 - I both cases I had the wonderful pleasure of being guided by Simon (more on him later) and I can without any hesitation give my best recommendations to both tours. Simply amazing. The first trip to Snæfellsnes peninsuala goes to amazing landscapes with vulcanoes, lava fields, waterfalls, mountains, black sand beach, view points, bird cliffs and at the end of the day we found ourselves at the beach looking for seals with luck :-) The second trip to Jökulsárlón will also take you through amazing landscapes, waterfalls, lava fields and roads, sights of glaciers and when you get to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon there will be plenty of icebergs to admire - and do not miss the boat trip in between the icebergs. It is absolutely amazing and absolutely worth the money. Don't miss the fish & chips there. You can taste that the fish is absolutely fresh and extremely tasty! After your meal go to the Diamond Beach, which is also a breathtaking experience. On the way back we did a stop (among others) at Reynisfjara Beach, where you can really get an idea about the raw forces of nature and beautiful sights of cliffs, caves and other fantastic stuff. If you get Simon as a guide you can be very sure to be in good hands. He will take good care of you and ensure that you get good local homemade cake, great food and energy and he will for sure share loads of information in a good inspiring way with humor, share his versions/extracts of the sagas and he will for sure teach you how to pronounce Eyjafjallajökull (the famous vulcano from 2010), if you go on the tour to the South Coast (Jökulsárlón). Simon is simply proud of presenting the wonders of Iceland to everybody on his tours. So don't hesitate to book if in any doubt!…
