Our guide, Rose, was extremely knowledgeable. In addition to providing information about all the sights, she added information and fun facts about Iceland and the people/culture/traditions living in Iceland. This day the weather was terrible, but she managed to keep the spirits up in the group. Even our teenagers liked Rose, and they normally don’t like these kind of activities. This is a “mandatory” trip when visiting Reykjavik and we’ll worth the money!…

There were 51 people on this tour. We would have preferred a smaller group. We were constantly waiting for late arrivals to get back in the bus. Our tour guide was sufficient but with this large of a group did not make it more intimate or personal. The Kerid Crater and Golden waterfall are a MUST SEE. Although at each site we felt slightly rushed. Quickly walking to absorb and take in all the beauty. The Secret Lagoon was nice. Walking between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates was a sight to see. The Geyser stop was average. A lot to do in one day.…

Do not go on this tour!!!!!!!!!! Although we were able to go to the blue Lagoon and have a fantastic time, I had developed a respiratory illness one day before the trip and was told by the tour guide when we entered the bus that anybody with a respiratory condition should not go to the volcano hike. The tour guide said that I could get a partial reimbursement for the volcano hike and Viator and the tour company have declined any kind of reimbursement. Spent a lot of money on this tour and they made me feel that it was my fault for not going on the tour and booking the store even though I had an unforeseen circumstance of having a respiratory condition develop one day before the tour. Do not go to the volcano tour at all! The blue Lagoon it’s fantastic but don’t spend the money on the volcano tour. They will not reimburse you.…

Special thanks to our guide Tom. He is not a typical guide you expect on an Iceland tour. When everybody had a down jacket or soft shell with multiple layers inside, he’s wearing tank top and shorts, Lol. At the end of tour, I really appreciated Tom’s work, he talked a lot during the trip, covering history, culture, geology and even some philosophy. And when time and weather permit, he also made some bonus stops on the road to let us see breathtaking views! It’s a long day trip but I really enjoyed it and love it!…
