Rib boats are fast and offer a quick reaction so you're able to get close to the whales quickly which leads to a very special experience. The tour starts at Reykjavik Harbour and you sail up close to the famous Harpa - Concert Hall and the Sun Voyager. Next, you proceed to Faxafloi Bay for the search of the whales, where you will experience the amazing wildlife with many species of whales, dolphins and even seals to be found in these waters. Many of the 23 species of whales that are found around Iceland can be found in the bay. In addition, the area is home to millions of sea birds of various species, including the beautiful puffin. The puffin comes to lay their egg in many of the islands in the Faxafloi Bay and on this trip you will get close to some of the islands, one of these islands is named Lundey which means Puffin Island. The guide to client ratio (12 per guide) creates the special feeling of a small group experience. thrilling ride. we were in Reykjavik to see museums; but it turned out to be beautiful sunny weather so we decided to go whale watching... very tranquil to be out on the ocean, and we were lucky to see 5 different Cetations, including short fin pilot whales on our way back to harbour, which is a rare sight. our guide and captain were great and very informative

Excellent experience. We saw two types of whales from a distance and lots of dolphins that came over to the boat and some that jumped high in the water. Perfect day!

We went for a 2 hour trip and it was amazing. Getting fast around looking for whales and dolphins. We saw humpback and minke whales very close and dolphins playing around the boat. Crew was great and informing on a good level. Absolutely a highlight of our 10 day Iceland trip.

Really enjoyed this trip. The guys running it were really friendly and knowledgable, giving us loads of detail on the whales and the marine life. A really professional organisation, the boat was modern, fast and comfortable. We were able to see a number of whales and at times got really close to them. The team know the area and as the boat is so fast are able to get to the whale sittings at pace. Went with 2 boys aged 12 and 10, both loved it!
