All tours sold through our website will be carbon neutralized by planting trees at our very own forestry plot. You can also opt to join us to plant your trees yourself as part of your Iceland experience.

Having first used Nordic Green Travel's stellar services for our maiden visit to Iceland in May 2018, we knew without a doubt we couldn't return for our second trip over New Year's in December 2019 without once again getting their exceptional guidance, support, and recommendations.
This was a different trip by all accounts from our first. Visiting a place like Iceland during winter presents its own set of potential challenges and obstacles. What would the weather be like? What activities and excursions are best suited for this time of year? And how can one be logistically "strategic" with their itinerary in order to make the best use of the limited (but beautiful!) daylight hours Iceland has this time of year?
From the very start, NGT's steady hand and calming guidance we had come to know and appreciate so greatly on our first visit came through! Daði was patient, thorough, and timely in answering all my questions and concerns regarding our return, and offered helpful, straightforward advice when it came to choosing between various excursions and hikes. He understood my "vision" for this trip and was able to tailor his recommendations to ensure we came away from Iceland having had exactly the kind of experience we were aiming and hoping for.
On our last day Iceland was experiencing bad weather and our flight home looked like it might get cancelled. The road leading to the airport even shut down for a brief period of time. Daði was in constant contact with us during this time, keeping us informed of the quickly changing situation and, as always, putting us at ease immediately. Knowing he was in our corner and "looking out" for us, *particularly* on this day, was a genuine relief during what could have been a quite stressful turn of events.
With Nordic Green Travel you will be getting personal, "customized" service by some of the kindest and most genuine people in the travel business. These are people passionate about their country and deeply committed to doing everything they can to make your experience in their native Iceland the trip of a lifetime. I've now worked with Nordic Green Travel twice, and I will not hesitate to use them again and again, for each and every visit to their beautiful country that I make. Simply put, there's no other way to travel to Iceland!

For our first family trip to Iceland, we used Nordic Green Travel and could not have been happier with their service! Daði helped me feel at ease with him handling the plans from the onset. He is a great communicator, always emailing or calling promptly. Although we had never met, I felt that someone I knew well was helping me plan this trip for my husband's 50th birthday. Daði also helped me feel at ease when it came to planning with the kids in mind (we have 9 and 11-year olds). Whenever I felt unsure about a piece of the travel prior to going, whether it be a question re: the rental car, accommodations, activities or dinner reservations, Daði would thoroughly answer my questions and put my mind at ease. Once it was time to leave the states for Iceland, we received a wonderful detailed itinerary and all the resources/references we would need while enjoying ourselves there. We did a self-drive and the gps coordinates in the itinerary definitely came in handy as did the extra wifi connection we got from the rental car company (per Daði's spot-on recommendation). We did encounter an issue while on the road with our wifi in the car (the cord was not staying plugged into the outlet) and one quick email to Daði and he swiftly assisted us with the issue. I can not say enough about how much my family enjoyed Iceland and I know the thoughtful travel planning made it so easy to do so. Checking in for any/all of the reservations NGT made for us was a breeze! And we had an unforgettable experience on NYE thanks to the recommendations in our itinerary. I would not plan another trip to Iceland without Daði's expertise. Working with a native Icelander definitely went a long way and I am so happy that I settled with Nordic Green Travel for this trip. Thank you for helping us make memories to last a lifetime in beautiful Iceland!

We would happily recommend Nordic Green Travel to those wishing to travel to Iceland 🇮🇸 Dadi put together a detailed itinerary based on what we wished to see and do, taking in some of the less travelled areas that we wished to visit. We also enjoyed visiting his home town of Faskrudsfjordor where we met a lady at the museum who knew Dadi and his parents!!
We were given detailed and concise instructions via the “Trip Plans” App including what was available to see and do each day and eating options along our travels. The app was very easy to use.
No problems with the hire car and 4g dongle was brilliant to have to be able to use google maps and to keep in contact along our journey, to send all those fantastic photos home.
Nordic Green was very competitive with rates and a big bonus for us was from our trip NGT will plant 18 more trees in Iceland !!! 😁
Go ahead just book your trip, you will not regret it !!!!

Our 10-day self-drive tour in Iceland was a memorable one thanks to Dodi Mar and Nordic Green. His personal service was impeccable and it makes Nordic Green stand out from the rest. He took into account my wishes and concerns and replied promptly to all my emails with suggestions. I felt like I had a friend in Iceland who cared that we had the best possible experience.
The organization of the itinerary from daily activities (amazing hikes, beautiful waterfalls, comforting hot springs, whale-watching, etc.) to accommodations was brilliant. We liked that we had plenty of sights per day in case the weather didn't allow for some. The Google links provided were very helpful. We used Carplay to be able to see the directions on a bigger screen and it worked very smoothly. The maps and photos included were also appreciated.
Iceland was gorgeous, its people were very friendly, and the food was great! Trust Nordic Green to give you the best service!

I would highly recommend Nordic Green Travel for planning/coordinating a self drive trip in Iceland. We picked one of their package tours and then customized it based on our desire to see some locations that were not part of the standard package. Nordic Green Travel accommodated all of our requests and provided an extremely detailed itinerary for each day highlighting all the sights of interest along the way. Each day was filled with many things to see and do. Overall, they provided excellent service at an exceptional price. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

We ended up buying tickets to Iceland with very short notice and decided to use a travel agency for the first time since we didn't have much time to plan. We ended up working with Daði for our trip and he did an AMAZING job to make our trip easy, perfectly customized to our interests and activity level, and memorable.
We only had a few weeks to plan a 7-day self-drive trip, and Daði was able to craft the perfect experience for us with just the right amount of exploration and relaxation. He was also available 24/7 whenever we had questions, gave us plenty of recommendations on what to keep and what to skip when we woke up late, made all of our reservations (including a last minute dinner reservation at an amazing restaurant) and even helped my (now) fiance plan his proposal at easily the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen, which is saying something in Iceland! When we mentioned Nordic Green Travel at one of our excursions, the employees there said how much they loved working with the guys at that agency and I have to completely agree.
NGT made our trip an absolute breeze and can't recommend them enough. Thanks so much for making Iceland our favorite and most memorable trip so far!

Iceland is beautiful to visit in March and easy to navigate if you have a realistic itinerary and access to weather and road conditions. Daoi Mar of NGT was responsive to each request from my first inquiry until we left Iceland. Weather in Iceland is unpredictable in March and Daoi helped give us alternate plans for bad weather days. It was awesome to have the itinerary planned by a local as well as the car rental and hotel bookings. Also 14 trees will be planted. Traveled wit my two adult daughters and had an awe inspiring self guided tour of Iceland!

Grétar Erlendsson organised one of the BEST days of our trip! He helped us book a car hire, planned a wonderful itinerary for us as well as booking us on the Katla track Fast track Ice cave/glacier tour. It was hassel free and absoultely amazing.
The itinerary planned for us included a number of beautiful waterfalls on the drive from Reykjavík down to Vik. The fast track ice cave tour was in Vik which was one of the BEST tours we did in Iceland. Then he also suggested great options for stops on the drive back to Reykjavík.
I would recommend this company and Grétar who was professional and friendly. He planned such a wonderful day for us as well as giving us lots of travel/tour tips and we are extremely grateful to him. He offered a personalised service and can tailor it to your needs. Thank you once again Grétar as you really did help to make our trip amazing!
When I return to Iceland I would definitely use this company again :)

We had a fantastic week touring Southern Iceland following the itinerary pieced together by Nordic Green. We were a group comprised of an almost 60 year old and three 20 something year olds. We completed several hikes, swam in 3 very different hot springs, took in the Northern lights, hiked a glacier and an ice cave, and viewed so many varied and breathtaking landscapes. We covered quite a bit of territory without ever feeling rushed or bored. Next , we would like to experience Iceland in the summer months and will reach out to Daoi again to help us build our itinerary. I have travelled extensively and have always cobbled together my own itinerary, but for this trip, based on the unpredictable weather conditions and inaccessible terrain, it felt wise to tap into a local’s knowledge and I’m so thankful we did. Highly recommend this travel company!

Booking with Nordic Green travel gave us peace of mind that if we needed any help there was someone we could call. Dadi was extremely helpful, adding a snowmobiling trip into a short visit, the itinerary was great and the 'comfort' hotels particularly Foss hotel were modern, served great breakfasts all in incredible scenery. Dadi kept us updated about how and if we could visit the Blue Lagoon due to the volcanic activity. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company, excellent, thank you.
