Nice chilled bar in the heart of the city but just on a side street so it felt quieter and away from the crowds.
Nice decor and staff seemed friendly enough.
A great place to have a beer before you go for a meal.

We always return to this cocktail bar when visiting Reykjavik. Relaxed atmosphere and good mixologists. Great spot to have a terrific classic cocktail and kick back. Bar is small and cozy. Does have outside seating when the weather permits.

Vedur is just off the Main Street so easily missed but try not to as it’s a great little bar. Has the feel of a front room and very relaxed. Lots of conversation with music in the background rather than music too loud you can’t hear anything.
Bar staff are very friendly and seemed to have had no issues with kids going in.
Prices are pricey but then it’s a bar in Reykjavik, also had a good selection of drinks and two good cocktail bar tenders making drinks the whole time we were there.
Also seemed to be a bar that the locals used and stayed in.

Great background music, which is at a level where you can chat. Good cocktails - especially the ones available during happy hour.

Great cosy bar just off the main shopping street in Reykjavik but get there for the Happy Jour so you don’t have to pay a fortune on drinks. There is a downstairs area also but no bar but again cosy for about 20-39 people and also has a chair lift to get downstairs for those not so able or after you’ve had one too many!!

We had the cocktail Moscow Mule in the outdoor seating area. These were one of those few days you can sit outside in Iceland. Great cocktail and good service

Went to Vedur with my wife. Had a few drinks from the happy hour menu. Nice atmosphere, good location, plenty of seats downstairs if there are many people. Will go again.

In a city where the drinks are really pricey, this was an amazing find. My friend and I stopped here for a glass of wine several times on our trip. The bartenders were all lovely. Definitely stop by!

Super nice bartenders and mellow space. Had a big screen up for World Cup. Good mix of locals...I stood out as a tourie, but was treated nicely anyway. (Hasn’t consistently been my experience in Iceland so far.)
