Worth a walk to view this stunning sculpture which embodies Iceland’s Viking heritage. There is parking nearby but not associated specifically with this sight.

Seeing this beautiful sculpture with the sun shining on it was breathtaking! It is the most beautiful and delicate metal sculpture have seen. It stands serenely with the sea and mountains behind.

A stunning site to behold on the shore line of this stylised Viking long boat glistening in the winter sun shine.

Certainly worth looking at and in a stunning location. Prepare for a lot of people monopolising for photos and striking stupid poses tho! Hard to get a photo of it unless you wait.

Just a short walk from the center of town, right on the water. Get a classic Iceland photo shot! Worth a quick stop.

Fab place to get your tourist photos done great views across the bay. It really is just a sculpture but worth visiting for a snap as you can walk past it along the coastline.

Keeping in mind that I don't exactly consider myself an art aficionado, I thought this was worth at least a drive-by on a day when the road to the place we had planned to visit was closed. It was ok for that, but I wouldn't...More

Beautiful stylish sculpture that captures the history of whaling. Truly stunning in its surrounding setting....absolutely beautiful as it sparkles and shimmers in the frosty sunlight.

That´s not true. In December in Reykjavik you have at least 4 hours of light. You can go to the page timeanddate, and check there the sunrises and the sunsets. Hope it help you.
