Awesome sculpture. Looks like an old Viking boat if you like stuff like this you won’t be disappointed. It’s right on the see front too.

Awesome place to view the ocean, take pictures, and enjoy the company around you! Downtown is amazing as well!

We made a point of walking along the warrrfront to see the this. It’s free so worth stopping to see. We went from there to the concert hall. There weren’t large crowds in October.

There isn’t really that much to say, it’s an amazing sculpture and the backdrop is amazing, you have the ocean right there, and the mountains further back, and on the left you have Harpa! I stumbled upon it looking for something else but I’m glad...More

The best part of this particular site is not the Sun Voyager itself, but all that is around it. You get a magnificent view of the mountains, coastline, and skyline. Although the city skyline is quite plain and "body, it is still interesting and different.

There's a lot to see while walking on the shore, including this and a weird grass dome in the distance

... and is good for a couple of pictures. Located directly at the sea ... During our visit not to crowded.

This sculpture sits on the edge of Reykjavik, on the bay. From it, you have a wonderful view of both the city and the mountains on the other side of the bay.

Looks great from all angles and changes with the ambient light. There are historical symbols incorporated with the design (although the local we talked to didn’t seem to know this)

Great waterfront area for walking or running. Artwork is right on the water in downtown Reykjavík. An easy walk from most hotels and tourist areas.

That´s not true. In December in Reykjavik you have at least 4 hours of light. You can go to the page timeanddate, and check there the sunrises and the sunsets. Hope it help you.
