We have done many food / farm / nature tours in several countries and our experience with Sigga ranks high high up there. We spent 2 days with Sigga and she was so easy to be with and truly provided a wonderful experience. We have been to Iceland before and yet she crafted an itinerary that felt very unique. We visited farms, met some special people, and enjoyed terrific food. Sigga wears a microphone in her lovely van so everyone can hear and she strikes the perfect balance of sharing interesting history / stories and leaving some quiet time to just soak it all in. I would highly recommend touring with Sigga!!!

Iceland is so much more than Northern Lights! This we learned on a 9-day tour with a group of 6 friends, put together by Sigga of Crisscross! From our first moment of arrival, an early morning bakery run for hot coffee and fresh danish, to dipping our bodies in the Blue Lagoon, to a well-rounded walking food tour - all within the first few hours of arrival. Sigga made her job appear seamless, though as a guid myself, I know the work it takes to make the job appear easy! And Sigga was amazing at making us feel comfortable, safe, and fully informed.

Crisscross arranged all of our hotels, most of our dinner reservations, and provided comfortable transportation, with expert driving (by Sigga) throughout our journey. We spent several days on the western peninsula including Snaefellsjokull National Park. Witnessed numerous water falls, thermal pools nd geysers, dramatic waterfronts, lava fields, and so much more. Then moved eastward to the tectonic plate intersection at Thingvellir National Park. Visited Husafell Canyon Baths for a dip in thermal pools and a beautiful hike to waterfalls. Ice tunnels, lava caves, volcanos, and so much more!

Too much to write here, suffice it to say, we had an action and scenery packed 9 days with Sigga. And the food! My goodness, I had no idea the food wold be so amazingly good in Iceland, and of course, Sigga took us to the tastiest places! My favorite was the tomato farm! Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we missed the farms we were to visit. Just gives me something to look forward to next trip!

Sigga and her knowledge of her homeland, legends, fables, history, geology, time lines, politics, and more, were mind blowing. And if she didn't know something, she said so, but that was rare.

We have a first rate experience with Crisscross and I highly recommend you look into her food and farm tours, and more.

We are just getting back from nine days with Crisscross tours.
The Owner and guide Sigga ,planned a wonderful experience for six friends who had visiting Iceland on their bucket list.
I can't imagine a better way of getting to know Iceland. Sigga has knowledge about the history, politics, sagas and culture. Any question asked she had so much to share. She took us daily to such unique places to eat .We had the opportunity to eat variety of local specialties.
She is alert to changing weather conditions and you feel 100% safe in her hands.
All we had to do was book a flight and everything was taken care of. From the minute we set foot in Iceland the adventure began.

If you are curious about food and culture in Iceland, spend the afternoon with Sigga! She was a gracious, knowledgeable, and accomodating guide who toured us around historic Reykjavik tasting traditional Icelandic foods along the way. The tour was an easy stroll, the food was diverse and delicious, and the history of Iceland told at each stop was intriguing. You will not be disappointed.

This tour was one of our more memorable experiences in Iceland. We were able to visit places that only locals know about it. It is a huge difference to take this tour in comparison with the other ones offered by big companies. Our tour guide, Olof, was very friendly and pleasant it was like having a day trip with a friend. The food was excellent!!! We had a nice snack prepared with authentic Icelandic products and it was delicious. The lunch was also wonderful. When you combine excellent food with amazing views and a very educative and informative talk it pleases all the senses and the mind. My husband and I truly enjoyed this experience and look forward to go back to Iceland and try another tour with this same company.

Sigga is a wonderful guide with great knowledge of everything in Iceland! But what is most impressive about her tour is that she combines everything that I love - trying the local food of the area, next to beautiful scenery and understanding the culture of the place!

Sigga's tours are also very good for children as they get to interact with farm animals (baby ones too! at the right time of the year) who are so cute and friendly!

You can be very assured that with Sigga, you will have a unique touring experience like no other! Don't forget to try Sigga's special drink that she created and made - at the end of my trip, I bought back 4 bottles!

Thank you Yue-En. We had a great time with you and Terese. Really proud how you handled the Icelandic winter conditions, coming from a country where the temperature never goes below +23°C (73°F). Hope you are enjoying all the local goodies you brought home with you. All the best, Sigga

I booked the Food and Farm tour for the day of my arrival from the U.S. It was a great way to recover from the time change and explore some farms near Reykjavik that I would not have otherwise visited. Our guide was wonderful and introduced us to the farmers at both dairy and sheep farms. Not only did we see all the new lambs, including a birth, but we also enjoyed food straight from the farms we visited. Highlights were the conversations we had with the farmers and the huge lunch we were served at the sheep farm. I think any of their tour offerings would be excellent.

What a wonderful and authentic day tour of Iceland.
Olaf was an amazing guide. We saw so many nature sites that are best seen up close and personal. We went to a beautiful private waterfall and tasted authentic Iceland treats. Then off to a farm for a tour of a family run farm and a delectable lunch of the best lamb I have ever tasted. This is a must if you like personalization at its best.

I did the "Taste of Nature" tour in September 2016 when they had recently started their business. My guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and took us to places that even I as an Icelander had not been to. The group was small so the tour had that friendly feel to it. You get to try all sorts of local Icelandic food and meet the people behind the product as well. On the tour we visited the Icelandic Goat Farm which was amazing, especially for an animal lover such as myself. I could not recommend this tour enough, it's simply amazing and I loved it!

The "Taste of Nature" is truly a trip that everyone should do during their stay in Iceland. This is an "off the beaten path" kind-of tour where you are not seeing the most popular sites, but doing something amazing and unique - connecting, enjoying and experiencing the best of Iceland. On our tour we travelled in a small group of 4 persons, met local farmers, got to know them and their work better, tasted the freshest food and simply enjoyed life far away from the capital and away from the busy tourist stops. My personal favorite were the friendly goats at Háafell farm and all the delicious food we tasted. Thank you for an amazing trip!
