Commanding. Stoic. Towering. The Guardian Spirit awaits your visit to this gorgeous spot along the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Salute him as you pass on your way to the cliff walkout. Food available on site. (Horse riding along beach also available near by.)

It's as if this statue welcomes you to the area. It's the first thing you see as you walk to the cliffs. Legend has it that he protects the peninsula and I can see why. Great photo op while visiting the area.

Its incredible to walk out on this cliff to see the monument to the mountain troll. It stands proud on a knoll between the mountain and the ocean. It is simple yet very moving to see this.

A quirky monument to the local troll, well worth a stop if in the area. Enjoy the walk to the water, take in the sites, and be sure to check out the “journey to the center of the earth” sign that is nearby.
