We popped in at Dokkan Brugghus on a Friday afternoon without any expectations, since we had never heard of this brewery before. We were warmly welcomed by the brewer who led us into a quite raw, but clean and nice tasting room. We opted for the tasting tray, which included 6 beer types: lager, IPA, amber ale, porter, mango milkshake and pale ale. We were pleasantly surprised how good all the beers were! We both agreed that the lager was the least one of them, but the other ones more than made up for that! After the tasting we discussed how great it would be to see Dokkan´s beer on tabs in more places in Isafjordur. We only found one cafe who had one of their beers on tab. In summary, Dokkan is a small and great family run brewery where visitors can clearly sense the passion that colours the atmosphere of the place and the taste of their beers.…

This micro brewery is situated near where the cruise ships dock. A small sitting area inside and one outside. Stopped on way back to ship and had the sample pallet of beer. You choose 4 from a selection of 6 for about £10. Good value for Iceland! Very friendly and good fun mixing with other patrons in the glorious sunshine.…

Isafjiordur is a charming village and well worth a visit. Dokkan Brugghus is tucked away near the cruise ship docks and a great place to finish a tour of the village. They are making superb brews which can hold up against any microbrewery--and I live in the home of great microbreweries, Portland, Oregon.…
