About
Our micro brewery is a small family business founded in Isafjorður in Octorber 2017 merely for the purpose to make local craft beer and the Westfjords really needed one. Then our first beer was made in the early summer of 2018. The brewery is located at Sindragata 14 but that’s were all of our products are made.

It was a nice day, so we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 5, 2023

Great selection of good quality beers with a lovely seating area outside. In inclement weather, adequate seating in the bar area. - Poppenlander280 contributionsHappy Hour beer tastingThis is a tasting room for a local microbrewery. It has a lot of indoor seating, and some outdoor seating. The food menu is limited, but the beer selection is good. We tried a couple of the tasting flights and had a good time. This wouldn't be a good place for a dinner, but it made a nice happy hour choice.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 27, 2024
- AlliZnFamilyFlorida426 contributionsFamily run, local beers. Stop in!We stopped at the Isafjordur Port in Iceland. We walked around the quant town and enjoyed the scenery. Even though we were there in June we had cool weather with sun. We stopped in the Dokkan Brugghus for a local pint and decided to try a flight. We were served quickly. The flight was $19. The four different brews I chose were fantastic. I highly suggest you stop in and support this family owned business while enjoying some local beer options. They do have food and vegan options.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 20, 2024
- iowacityia2,683 contributionsFriday, May 31st, afternoon beer stop. The 4 of us stopped for beer, before returning to our NCL Star cruise ship. This place being very close to the cruise port. It was very busy both inside and outside. The beer selection was quite varied. I found a yummy dark beer to enjoy. We had a very nice visit before returning to our cruise ship. I would return.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 23, 2024
- John SHorsham, United Kingdom125 contributionsExcellent small brewery with interesting alesWe stopped at Isafjordur on our recent cruise and visited the brewery to sample their wares. It is a fairly typical small brewery but it produces a remarkably wide range of different styles. We had a flight of four small glasses - you can make your choice from the dozen or so on offer - or leave it up to them. We sat outside in the afternoon sunshine and enjoyed them all. I chose beer styles that I know well, rather than be more adventurous, and they were all excellent. Well worth a visit; not cheap but you are on holiday and it is the middle of the Western Fjords!Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 30, 2024
- Shawna AtkinsonAbilene, Texas360 contributionsYummy food and beer! Don't miss if you're in Isafjordur! We stopped here after reading some reviews of the place and were so glad we did! I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I had the Fossvatn Lager and it was great! We had the "taste of the Westfjords" which was fun to try, and the fish and chips. The fish and chips were some of the best we've had! The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed it. My favorite part was the mural of the elves making beer on the wall. So fun!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 31, 2024

Visited twice in the three days we were in town. Enjoyed tasting five of their beers. It’s kind of an odd building for a bar, but the bartender was very friendly and helpful in picking out beers for our flight. Wish we could’ve taken some home

We loved the food and the beer offer( they serve also wine and non alcoholic drinks)The waiter and barman in a one person was easy to talk to, funny ,fast and helpful. I loved the restaurant/bar wibes in a middle of nowhere. I recommend to try the variety of beers - one can taste palette of 4-6-12 beers in a small (0.1L) glasses or take the regualar one. The food was delicious.. Five stars from us.

Can I just say, having visited almost 200 microbreweries, that I really liked their beer. They had a great selection, my favorites being the lager and the red ale. It was very near our docked cruise ship which was great. Their staff was prompt and friendly. It was a great place to enjoy a few at the end of a day of hiking.

I really enjoyed our visit to Dokkan Brugghus. The seating area is spacious and felt welcoming. We just missed the visitors from the cruise ship, so that was a huge positive, if there is a cruise ship docked I would try to go later in the day. Definitely worth the visit. We tried all 12 of the beers they had that day, and none of them were the "fantastic" beer I was hoping to find. But this place is definitely worth the visit to enjoy a few beers and talk to any locals or travelers that are in the bar.

If you want to go for an Icelandic beer tasting then fair enough but don'tgo for any other drinks. I asked for a lemon spritz. I. coudnt believe it, I watched the bartender measure out two thimble sized measures of prosecco, the same for lemoncello and, wait for it - the same for soda water. I ended up with a spritz a third of the size of anything I'd been served before. My drink (if you can call it that) was £14!! What a waste of time and money!!

There are a few other options in Isafjordur, but this brewery is excellent. I was surprised to find a brewery in this small town at all, but I was even more pleasantly surprised how good the beer was!
They have a large variety of beers and you can get a flight to try several. I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, and they have a good menu also. There is seating inside and outside, both offer nice atmospheres.
If you make your way to Isafjordur, stopping at Dokkan Brugghus is a must!

Visa yes. We spent a couple of weeks in July in Iceland and never encountered a single restaurant, retail, grocery store or taxi cab that did not accept Visa. Actually, many stores did not accept cash.
