4 times we saw a humpback whale diving during our 3.5h trip. The crew was very kind and they were involved in plenty of interesting conversations with us tourists. Free coffee and cookies were offered at some point. The boat is very steady and there was plenty of space for all of us. We also spotted plenty of birds on the water, including Puffins.

I had an awesome tour with a very nice and friendly crew! (30.08.2017)
They did everything to let us see the whales without disturbing or annoying the whales.
I saw humpbacks for the first time in my life! An unforgettable experience! Thanks to all of you!
I definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

Many regards, Jeannette Lehwald

The website indicated "6 to go" and we were six persons - so we had the whole boat to ourselves (plus the family of the owner). We did see whales, even one that breached and flapped its fins. We didn't get very close probably because there was a mum and young whale in the area and we didn't want to stress them. Our guide was a young American who is studying marine biology so he gave us a lot of information. The whole experience was wonderful and ended with a fantastic soup meal on shore after the excursion which warmed us up, body and soul!

We were a group of 8 people and decided to book the whale trip in advance. Since the first time we spoke by email, we have a fluent conversation and they solve every question we had. The day we should do the trip, we had a puncture and we arrived 30 minutes late... And they wait for us!!
The trip we had was awesome, we enjoyed every time and see a lot of things. They spent time to explain us a lot of things, and that's remarkable.
I strongly recommend this new company in Westfjords, the will improve really quickly.
Thank you for everything, we really enjoyed our time there. Regards!!

The tour lasted about three hours, was led by a Marine Biologist who identified all kinds of critters along the way. The guide told us what bit of land we were looking at, including some features of the area. The boat had many vantage points from two decks, with the lower deck being protected from weather. There were both seated and standing options. Friendly crew, warm coffee served.
We saw many types of birds, and a couple of humpback whales. I highly recommend this tour if you have a few hours of time to spend in the area. If you do go on this tour, bring layers of warm clothing and even rain gear, as it is colder over the water and you may encounter rain and/or sea spray.

We went at the 2 hours (+) tour with the local old fisherman and it was amazing! First part was seeing whales in the fjord and the second part was rope fishing in thee differents places. It was great to share this moment with a local guy who was really nice in place of a stranger guide just for tourists :)

We were a group of four off the P&O Azura and joined four other people on this morning trip.
Firstly the boats Captain and his friend were delightful, very welcoming and accommodating. They new exactly where to go and the results were amazing. Worth every penny for what appeared to be an expensive trip at first.
If you are traveling on a cruise liner into Isafjordur don't take the ships organised trip. Do this one and try to arrange all your excursion independent of P&O. Much better value.

Absolutely fabulous tour with great crew and captain. All very friendly and lots of fun. Weather was impeccable and sea very calm. Saw lots of wildlife, including puffins, seals and many other sea birds, though unfortunately no whales on this trip but was very early in the season. Would highly recommend.

We spent 20 days in Iceland the last summer in a caravan for a family of 5 people. The long hours during summer enabled us to have much longer time to visit the many tourist attractions. I think if we have one month, it will be a more leisure trip. I personally find Westfjord is the most scenic place in Iceland. The driving along the scenic coastal road is so relaxing and enjoying. Djupavik with a shipwreck and a waterfall at the back drop is so beautiful. The museum named The Factory converted from a Herring Factory in Djupavik is impressive. Krossneslaug, an outdoor swimming pool heated with hot spring is located so far into a dead end road and yet we were so surprised to see so many people there. The navigating road at Skotufjorour lagoon is mesmerizing and we even saw a whale in the lagoon. Other nice place to visit include the Natural History Museum at Bolungarvik, the avalanche wall at Flateyri and the Artic Fox Centre at Sudavik. Everything in iceland is very costly, and it is a good choice to travel in a caravan. We can park at the many caravan sites, cook our dinner to save on both food and accommodation and time to look for food.
