This is a great pick for travelers interested in exploring Iceland’s diverse outdoor beauty. Instead of heading to the popular Reykjavík, this tour focuses on the best of Reykjanes Peninsula. Avoid the hassle of waiting in long ticket lines by having all entry tickets included. See the much loved Blue Lagoon, Reykjanes Lighthouse, Gunnuhver Hot Springs, Kleifarvatn Lake, and much more on this action-packed day trip.

This 4 hour tour takes you through one of the most beautiful areas in Iceland. The tour begins by going to “The Bridge Between Continents”, next up is a short hike up a “volcanic crater” that was active for 30 years. From there we will drive through a beautiful lava field and see how the mid-atlantic ridge comes to land. Next we'll head to the most active hot-spring in Iceland “Gunnuhver”, this is where you really can feel the power of the nature, it is truly amazing.

We will be heading to “Brimketill” after Gunnuhver. Brimketill is known for huge waves from the Atlantic Ocean colliding with the volcanic landscape, you mey get wet. After these stops we go see to one of the most famous tourist attraction in Iceland, “The Blue Lagoon”. There you will be able to wonder around and see the shiny blue water in the black lava fields. If you wish to go in the lagoon you can buy tickets online. Along the way on the tour we stop at a local cafe down by the harbour in “Gindavík”.

Together we will observe the glittering northern lights of Iceland in an unforgettable theatrical adventure. The northern lights, or the aurora borealis, are caused by the collision of charged particles with atoms in the higher altitudes of the atmosphere and they are visible in clear skies from September to April.

The locations visited during the Northern Lights tour vary from day to day depending on weather conditions. Because this tour is weather dependent, sightings are not guaranteed. However, if you don't see any Northern Lights during this tour, you are welcome to join the tour again, free of charge.

We begin our journey by driving to one of Iceland's most legendary sites, the national park of Þingvellir. This is the original home of the Althing, the world's oldest extant parliament, and this is where the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.

Next up is Haukadalur, home to hot springs that include the legendary Geysir (from which all geysers derive their name) and the still-active Strokkur. We will have lunch in Haukadalur, including some local delicacies. From there, it is only a 10 minute drive to Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall), one of Europe's most powerful waterfalls and considered by some to be the highpoint of this tour.

Our next stop is Friðheimar, an Icelandic greenhouse where you can see (and perhaps taste) for yourself how Icelanders use renewable energy to grow vegetables. On our way back home, we stop to take a look at the scenic volcanic crater Kerið and get a chance to see many examples of lcoal horses and farms.

Easy to get on and get off and a guide who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There was some communication problems between him and the organiser (not only for us) but they were sorted out.
