not bad - we stopped here on the way to the airport together with the viking museum.

When I was stationed at Keflavik NAS years ago, went on the short excursion to these picturesque Icelandic folklore houses with their unique grass roofs, nice to peak inside to get a glimpse of Icelandic life.
Did some "turbo-touristing" right before checking in for departure. An interesting stop that allows outsider to have a gander at what was once a way of life for Icelanders. Almost seems like a world away. Oh... I'm pretty sure I saw puffins take off.
If in the Keflavik area or near Viking World, I would recommend taking a few minutes to walk around Stekkjarkot. Like others mentioned, I came here, and it was pretty empty with nothing going on. But it was fun to walk around and take pictures...More
