Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff who were very efficient. The car assigned to me was in excellent condition, clean and perfectly maintained. It corresponded exactly to the description given on the site, and the handling was quick thanks to the clear explanations of the staff. Throughout the rental period, the car performed wonderfully, providing optimal comfort and safety. I particularly appreciated the flexibility of the service, with the possibility of extending the rental period without complications. Returning the car, the procedure was just as smooth and quick, with staff as courteous as ever. No hidden fees or unpleasant surprises, everything was transparent from start to finish. Amazing trip and it went great with the car and the tent on the roof. The company is top and they are super nice, I recommend. Only downside, we had rented a table that frankly was not in very good condition. Otherwise for the rest, all good!

Picked us up very quickly at the airport after calling them as described. At their office they were helpfull in providing some information about the road conditions, what was expected, and even some interesting destinations. Did not do very difficult all with the return (was instructed that it needed to be semi-clean and that was indeed enough for them). They seemed to have realistic expectations with the state of the car at the return as it was already well used (whilst being ok maintained) on pickup. The wifi module was an unexpected addition we got for free which was nice as well. All in all an positive experience

2015 Suzuki Grand Vitara Staff is friendly and pickup is quick and direct to and from the airport. The SUV and included Wifi worked great and got us to many places even in the highlands. Rooftop tent is nice and comes with comfy mattress and cushions, can be a bit cold at night but the fabric really keeps the light and rain out! It's an older car so it has some minor quirks and superficial wear but that's to be expected. The trunk area smelled bad and full of cleaning agent smell. I assume the last guests had spilled something nasty and the workers did their best to clean it out. Overall 9/10

We had a great experience with Camping Cars. The car was big enough to keep 2 large suitcases and 2 carry-ons organized. We had a 2015, 6 cylinder, Suzuki Grand Vitara and it drove really nice and handled well in the wind and on gravel roads. The tent was extremely easy to set up and take down. Note, if you’re short you might have to step up on the back bumper to get the tent latched. The tent inside was nice and dark and the sleeping pad was comfortable. The pillows were flat so if you like a more fluffy pillow you should bring your own. A few things that could be improved are the headlights, they were dim and made driving at night difficult unless you used your brights. Also the tent had some threadbare spots due to its age. When it rained water did wick through leaving the mattress damp so we had to air it out before using it the following night. Please note that we did rent an older vehicle so we knew we would have some wear and tear on the car and tent. So if you rent an older car don’t expect perfection. Overall a great experience and we would rent from Camping Cars again.

Awesome Experience! Camping cars was amazing! The airport pick up & drop off along with the check-in was seamless! I rented a Suzuki Vitara with a rooftop tent for a 2 week solo roadtrip around Iceland’s famous ring road! The car was great, strong and in great condition, unfortunately being an older model she didn’t have BT or Aux cable, I listened to the radio a lot but it would’ve been ideal to hookup to the car stereo, if you like listening to music while driving like I do I would recommend bringing a speaker! There are a lot of gravel roads so I would highly recommend getting the gravel insurance! The windshield was my biggest concern as large stones fly up from cars overtaking too fast on the roads! The rooftop tent (my rooftop apartment :)) was spacious and comfortable, I am very glad I asked for more blankets as it was very cold and in all honestly the further North I drive the colder it got and I ended up staying at a few hostels! I would also make sure to try find camping grounds with good sheltered areas, on the very windy days make sure you are facing into the wind properly and keep an eye on your ladder! I had an absolutely incredible trip! There are so many stunning places to see and so many exciting things to experience and it would not have been possible without my trusty Camping Car! She never let me down! Lastly the WiFi - what an awesome idea, watching movies in my tent before bed was such a treat! Thanks again!

The team at Camping Cars was very straightforward and flexible. Eas we very much appreciated wat that they did not want to turn on any more insurance. The Airport Pick Up worked great. The vehicle was ideal for the Icelandic roads.

The rooftop tent was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, making it the perfect base for stargazing and soaking in Iceland's natural beauty. Setting it up and packing it down was super easy, even after a long day of exploring. 💡 Pro Tip: Icelandic nights can get pretty chilly, even in summer, so make sure to bring warm sleeping bags and layers to stay cozy. This setup gave us the ultimate flexibility, letting us wake up right next to glaciers, waterfalls, and volcanic landscapes. Definitely the best way to experience Iceland off the beaten path! Would absolutely rent again. 🚙🏕️✨
